I can not startup game from desktop?

So recently, maybe 3-4 days ago i haven't been able to start up the game from my desk top icon, or any other place for that matter. The weird thing is if I come back later and try to start it, it will say something like the game is running on this computer already on another account. Even when I shut down my computer it will still give me the same message. Anyone able to help?
