Duplicate items in inventory - non-removable.
I've noticed on several of my characters they suddenly have an extra armor piece item that is a duplicate of another worn armor piece, and it behaves a bit odd.
Here's what I've collected so far about it:
- One of the items remains fixed in a specific inventory slot - so trying to move it will move the other piece to that slot it was attempted to be move to.
-Trying to equip the duplicate piece will equip the original.
- Trying to drop the static duplicate piece will result in the original piece being dropped and the duplicate piece remains in place of the occupied inventory slot.
On one of the characters its a head piece where on another its a hand piece.
I'm not sure, but I think its related to the appearance changer kit, or the appearance changer at Maltz. Also, it might also be related to server resets/crashes.

I think you can fix it by dragging the real piece onto the phantom piece.

Didn't work, but the opposite did.Endelyon wrote:I think you can fix it by dragging the real piece onto the phantom piece.
Thank you, but a bug nonetheless.

It's a vanilla bug and part of a hardcoded system, unfortunately there's not much we can do about this one.

That sucks, is it listed in a known bug & fixes section?Endelyon wrote:It's a vanilla bug and part of a hardcoded system, unfortunately there's not much we can do about this one.

I wasn't even aware we had such a section, so I have no clue whether it'd be listed there or not.

I'm not sure if you do, thats why I asked if you had it listed in such a section.Endelyon wrote:I wasn't even aware we had such a section, so I have no clue whether it'd be listed there or not.

After searching a bit it doesn't seem like we do, lol. It's actually a really good idea to start one, I'll make a post today on staff forums and ask everyone to brainstorm some of the ones they know of similar to this and see if we can't get a list compiled.
