Hey all,
Got a character concept kicking around in my head and I'm looking for a nice crunchy build to go along with it. I've not got much experience building with 3.5 Pen and paper and basically, none for BGTSC builds.
Originally I had the idea of making a horse archer but my dreams were dashed when I figured out there are no ridable horses in the game.
That said I've already got an archer build for an elf so perhaps more of a Nomad style frontline damage dealer.
Current inspirations kicking around in my head are:
Prince Jingnim from the Marco polo series
Guan Yu from Chinese mythology
And the Mongol Empire or FR equivalent (I think that's the Nar not sure)

Re: Mongolian Nomad Build
Not familiar with the first two, but for the Mongolian I would likely go with Barbarian 22/F8, B20/WoD10 or B26/F4. Another route would be F18/FB5/R4/NWN3 which still gives you the Barbarian type of feel, but with Fighter feats in place of Barbarian Rages. Barbarian is stronger, but Fighter doesn't rely on rage.

Re: Mongolian Nomad Build
I am pretty sure the Tuigan Horde is modeled after the Mongols. See page 19 of The Horde. The Horde is written as of 1338 DR, so that information can all be used since our server is currently in 1354 DR.
Yamun Khahan already united the Tuigan Horde in 1338 DR at the Battle of Mount Bogdo, so you could play one of those warriors.
The Tuigan Horde won't be defeated until 1360 DR. See page 144 of the Grand History of the Realms.

Re: Mongolian Nomad Build
Wilderness Stalker could be an interesting PRC to consider. It doesn't really mix well with Barbarian though, but there is nothing wrong with a 'Fighter 12/Rogue 3/Wilderness Stalker 10/Frenzied Berserker 5' for example.
