Stormsinger issues?

I apologize in advance if this has been spoken of elsewhere already. I currently have a Stormsinger and I've noticed that the DC for my stormsong: gust of wind ability is only 16, but the description says that it is based off of Perform skill, which I have 20 ranks in (20 actual skill points assigned).

Am I missing some understanding of the DC mechanics, or is the ability not working right?

Also, I just received my 2nd level in the prc and obtained "Stormpower" feat, that is supposed to increase perform skill and DC for Stormsinger abilities by 2 respectively. I tried the gust of wind again, and the DC was still 16.

Is there issues with the build, is it a glitch? am I missing something? I appreciate anyone that can give me any information towards understanding this.

Caster Level is equal to perform ranks with max CL of 30. So with 20 ranks your Gust of Wind is as if caster level 20. So, DC is 10 + Spell Level + your stat... Gust of wind is a 3rd level spell so with 16 CHA your DC would be 10+3+3=16. When you get to 23, 26 and 29 perform ranks you will get epic caster bonus and DC will be 19 (assuming CHA is still 16).

Thank you so much for the clarification; I thought it might be mechanical like that, I just wasn't sure.

But how does this account for the "Stormpower" feat. Isn't that supposed to add 2 more to the DC in addition to everything you mentioned?

Oh I see, in the website it states it adds 2 to the caster level, I believe the in-game feat says +2 to the DC, but maybe I mis-read. Thank you again for the clarification!

Yes, but again, it's +2 Perform checks and +2 Caster Level, not directly +2 DC. So next perform rank you will be at CL23 and should gain +1 to your DC.
