So i'd like to have a Melee character to play when I'm not feeling my summoner. I think I'd like to play a barb that will go down the twf route, though I'd be into seeing other builds. My thought on barb was high con could help me stay alive while soloing, but also offer up decent damage. I'm not into rogue, I don't really care for stealth and sneak attacks. Never been good at it.
Any help is good help!

Barbarian 21/Fighter 4/Tempest 5, with Whirlwind Frenzy as the chosen type of rage.
So... something like this: http://nwn2db.com/build/?283406
You would get 10 attacks per round, so 6~7... But you could use Standard Rage to get better will save and longer duration. (Basically, you will get all 6 Northlander Hewing attacks with your Main hand, while you lose the off hand attacks.)

Barbarian 20 / Hunter 6 / Tempest 4 is a nice option too.
Northlander Hewing actually cuts your Main Hand attacks when you're dual wielding. So, that's quite a downside because OH attacks get only half of your STR mod to dmg.

So are you saying that these builds we have suggested... at level 30... get... three of their highest BAB attacks from both hands?matelener wrote:Barbarian 20 / Hunter 6 / Tempest 4 is a nice option too.

6 + 3 attacks = 9 attacks, 9*(2/3) = 6 attacks.
Let us assume:
Main Hand: 40/35/30/25/20/15 and Off-hand: 40/35/30, thus with Northlander Hewing we get:
Main Hand: 40/35/30 Off-hand: 40/35/30?
Correct, false?

Correct but in the order: 3 x OH then 3 x MH.

Could you send me a screenshot? I just find it a bit hard to believe.
Um, but do the offhand attacks get the Northlander Hewing bonus?
