Server down?

Server seems to be highly unstable atm. Crashing all the time...

Yeah, for me, the server isnt crashing, but I cant log in, I just crash. Once I got to the nexus, and somebody was saying there was a messed up character making the crashes. Said they are about to log in... and boom, down I go.

I know it isn't me, because I just played last night same character.

Also, I noticed, before, when I used to crash, the relog took a lot longer to get in, because it took a long time to make sure the files were synced. Now, it doesn't do that, which may be why somebody now has a corrupted character.

Any confirmation on what caused these crashes earlier today? Can one player's corrupt character really cause other individual players to crash while the server remains up and running? I would think we'd have safeguards against this. Happened to me about 4 times in a row before I realize it was a futile effort.

Server seems to be stable now. Hopefully that will be the last of it.

Restarting the server in two hours with the fix that addresses the broken character appearance crash field from being usable.

If anyone is experiencing immediate crash to desktops thereafter with no chance of logging in under a certain character PM me.

After reset I get the following error:

bg_S1.tlk was downloaded successfully, but could not be extracted. Please check disk space and file permissions and make sure the file target file is not in use.

Edit: False alarm, sorry....if anyone else has this issue simply exiting and restarting NWN2 fixed it for me.
