Another Ghost Step question

Will a shield prevent this ability from working for phantoms? Shield slam looks to be a nice feat.

No it will not. (Answer is based on my full-plate wearing, tower shield wield Ghost Faced Killer, and how Valefort suggested a Shield Slam Phantom few topics below.)

I was under the impression that Phantom ki powers can't be used while armored? Is this mistaken? It does seem that GFK does not have this limitation. Maybe I am derp. Thank you.

Well...Shield isn't armor and Phantom can use two weapons, I wouldn't see an issue in allowing them small shields and allow ki to work while using small shields, possibly medium but that seems a little harder to fathom (trying to be a stealthy ninja with a big arse shield)... a small shield or buckler wouldn't be much more restrictive than a short sword IMO.
