Broken containers?

Unread post by CrystallineFae »

I have opened several containers now that are completely empty, which I figured could happen, but there is something wrong with them in that no matter how many times you open them it doesn't give the message saying i already checked the container with the countdown until it resets. Nothing happens at all. And it's not just chest, happens with bones and crates as well.

As much as I wish that was the case, the amount of "empties" has vastly increased. I'd maybe find one empty every week; now I'm finding three empties in the same area during the same trip.

I don't think it's RP-related. ;)

the emptiness isn't the problem, its the not counting down and resetting. but I do also agree there have been a lot more empty ones lately.

Some containersbonescrates are broken like stuck open chests. If you dont get the message of "minutes still colldown" with an empty crate then try the "broken chest" solution. Move forwrd with keyboard repeatly and open the crate.... Eventually it will fix and has loot and the cooldown message. Unless " broken chests" there is no visual indicator of success like a closed chest lid.

there have been no stuck lids on them, they open and close as normal, but I will try it.

The one by FAI, the Bones by the hilltop ruins, and both chests in the kobold chief room on the first floor of the ruins are all duds at present for multiple people.

Okay they are definitely not resetting, and they are bugged because everyone who attempts to opens it sees nothing and has no countdown. I can make a list of which ones as I find them.

I also noticed the hilltop chieftains 2 chests empty 2 times in a row. That's more than the random empty chest bug (which is bad in itself).

2nd floor of cloakwood mines, the crate close by to the lift where you arrive at. That one's not working properly either, or it didn't seem to be. Nothing inside, and no script firing to tell me it had been looted.

With these 2, you have to step inside the crate to loot it. (Wasd-keys). That has always been the issue there, even before with one crate and the skullpile.

I know you have to walk inside those boxes to open them. I'm saying I got this particular one to open and it was misfiring in the same manner as described previously in the thread.
