Status of Myrkul
So I've been considering playing a follower of Myrkul and in my research I've only come across articles referring to Myrkul and his subsequent demise during the Time of Troubles. Which has left me with some uncertainty and questions regarding Myrkuls presence and status on the server. How did he return to power? Is Kelemvor still active and if so how do the two gods effect each other. What's Myrkuls public perception and how are his priests viewed? Are they able to travel the lands freely, or are there plenty of places where saying "I love me some Myrkul" would end badly? Thanks for any replies or helpful advice in advance.

^ What Vale said.
As long as you're not overtly sinister about it, you should have no trouble playing a Myrkulite. Their worshippers aren't outlawed from what I know, and a few players have played them in the past without getting hassled. Kelemvor isn't a god yet, and thus wouldn't be known about IC'ly.
Anyone should feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of the above, which I very well may be

There are no level 30's, only level 20's with benefits...

Preaching his dogma, rituals or public display of symbols are outlawed at BG.- Public Preaching of Dogma, Rituals or Public Display of Symbols of the following Gods is severely punishable by up to banishment or death, as determined by judicial ruling: Bane, Bhaal, Loviatar, Malar, Myrkul, Shar and Talos. Judicial ruling resulting in execution, will be public and final (OOC: a perma-strike against convicted PC).

As someone with an alt-Myrkulite toon, expect to be at least heavily disliked by anything that plays out what I typically call "jerky good", AkA preachers.
Others typically do not judge you immediately, but stay wary because the faith has had some...dubious representatives in the past.
Otherwise, feel free to play one if you can take some adversity.
