+CON cloak: when fashion kills

I have a Mantle of Gram the Mouse which gives a +2 CON bonus. Earlier, when I used the Appearance Kit to modify the cloak, every. single. choice. took -30 HP from me. Even selecting the colors caused a hit!

What's up? And is this happening with other +CON items?

Were you wearing another +CON item at the time? If so, take it off and only mod one +CON item at a time.

If not, then this is really a dilly of a fashionista pickle.

Yeah, I have a lowish HP wizard that has a padded armor with zero ASF and +1 CON. Tried to change the appearance of the armor and almost fugued myself before I realized what was happening. One more click and it would've been curtains for Irrace...

Will there be a workaround for changing the appearance of +CON items? While I can understand that stacking HP is an issue, so is the inability to change items without bleeding all over them.

it should only happen if you wear multiple +con items, so just go down to the one you need to change

thats really the only work around that doesnt reenable the exploit

Again, that's not the case. I only have one +CON item, and the -30 HP happens during every movement of the appearance changer, including changing colors.

been a while since ive used it, but doesnt it create a double of the item you are changing now?

and which changer are you talking about? the original or the kit?
