Character no longer listed on Load

Hello, i was playing earlier today and that character is no longer on the list... i already tried contacting a DM about an issue regarding being stuck in the underdark as opposed to being on the surface.

Any suggestions for a fix, or is this my fault for not saving? Even though there has not been a server restart yet.

I often have that problem if i disguise and log out. Then the char is listed under the disguised name. And if you disguised with a name already in the list the doubled name char doesnt appear. A solution is to log in with the disguised or orginal named char and give him another name; disguise again and log out and see if the lost char appears in your list (eventually with the wrong name).

No disguise was used on the character but thanks for the speedy reply!!! Any other reasons it could have dissapeared?

Make sure your account name is spelled exactly right.

Will PM you. Usually though, it's a typo in the account name, the character was brand new and got erased by an unexpected server crash before they were saved, or you disguised them (or named them) with the name of a character already in your character vault (in which case you will need a DM to change your name on the visible "name clone" to fix it for both of them).
