Re: smite infidel
You cannot have a cleric with the Sun and Destruction domains on this server - but - you can have Destruction and Evil domain to turn outsiders - and - Destruction and Spider domain to turn spiders. High charisma makes your Turn Undead ability stronger, and Great Smiting feats require 25+ charisma to be taken so there is some innate synergy right there. Not to mention that you can get regular Divine Might for damage and Divine Shield for AC.
As for build-wise; any Aasimar could start with the following stats: 14 STR, 8 DEX, 10 CON, 10 INT, 16 WIS, and 20 CHA. All they need is a +3 wisdom item to cast level 9 spells, and cast Divine Power and Greater Magic Weapon to sit at 40 AB and the BAB of 30. Therefore, they can make do with the +10~ damage per hit they get from Divine Might alone, and the -1 dex modifier doesn't exactly sting when you get +10~ AC from Divine Shield.
But as for Smite Infidel, if I am not mistaken, you can get 3 uses of it with the Extra Smiting feat. That doesn't really feel like much, but if you spend all of your epic feats on Great Smiting as a single class Cleric, then your Smite Infidel damage would be 270 per hit. In otherwords, the damage is large enough to 'one shot' most characters without at least 10HD per level. The damage is large enough that it will automatically disrupt spellcasting if it lands. Not to mention that the Smite Infidel Attack is done at the AB of '50~ + 1d20' with just very minimal buffing. Many characters could only survive it if they have lucky rolls on their side, and there are still two more Smite Infidels to follow after the first. Oh, did I mention how it can also land a critical hit? And hit 8 out of 9 alignments?
In a way the fixed Smite Infidel ability would be far stronger than a Hierophant's Blast Infidel boosted Harm spells. With Harm spells you can at least disrupt the caster, and boost your saves as high as possible to only take half damage.
But other than that, yeah, the ability doesn't work. It should be fixed or replaced. If you want to replace it, extra spells would be the easiest way I suppose. There are a lot of destruction based spells in the divine and arcane spell lists.

Re: smite infidel
Blackguard has Smite Good though.
I think the problem with the destruction domain Smite Infidel is that it only accounts for the Divine Champion levels for damage.

Re: smite infidel
Just tried out Smite Infidel Cleric on the test module. It didn't let me pick Great Smiting feats even though I had 25 charisma, and Smite Infidel did not do any extra damage.

Re: smite infidel
i believe the great smite thing was known already, which is why multiple attempts to make smite good and infidel better keep getting brought up but it has issues with being hardcoded if i remember right
and what damage was it doing and suppose to have been doing?

Re: smite infidel
With 20 levels of cleric, I should have gotten +20 damage with Smite Infidel. I just did the regular weapon damage. Mundane club and strength modifier.
