Grendunor Silvereye a cleric of Moradin can be seen inquiring about local dwarven holdings along the sword coast.

An old graybeard clad in the colours of Moradins clergy stands at the outer gate of the keep. A large waraxe strapped to his hip and a shield as tall and half again on his back.
His armour holds a copper hue with gold and silver trim. Across his chest the sigil of Moradin is inlaid in silvery mithril highlights.

A Grim Reaper like dwarf inquire about seeking refuge and shelter among dwarven clan Kraak Helzak. He seems very old with a white beard, but most of his beard has fallen off due to his old nature. with a humble and tomb like expression, he seems to have been seen in burial site where he prays for the dead soul to pass this world and enters another with peace, be it to Hell or to Heaven.

The gates to Kraak Helzak open themselves to each and every member of the Stout Folk, without delay. As well, many arrivals to the 'Holy Anvil' fortress will learn that all beings belonging to or of Races and professions with an affinity to the terra, are given opportunity as well, to pledge into an Allegiance with the King.

That Allegiance is, by now, well known along the Sword Coast, as a oath among all willing Clans and single clan members, to give aid and receive aid, under the banner of King Battlehammer and the citizens of Kraak Helzak.

Thus...as the "grim reaper"-like dwarf of odd disposition seeks shelter, the fold therein would give him welcome, yet remain without complete ease, around him...until he would further open up to his identity.

And so, other stouts would offer to this newcomer to seek out the Thunder Blessed named Hurgon, of clan Wyrmstone, that has taken the role of Ambassador for Kraak Helzak.

The same can be said, as a reaction to the public address made by Grendunor Silvereye, cleric of Moradin, that, should he as well seek shelter and wish to pledge allegiance to the 'Holy Anvil' and banner of King Battlehammer, he would be wise to, as well, seek out Hurgon of clan Wyrmstone, ambassador to the King, and Voice of the Deep Mountain.

"Why de ye find this Wyrmstone?," the newly arrived dwarves may respond. They would learn from many a Stout that Ambassador Hurgon is filled with the wanderer spirit, such that it is alive in so many of the Thunder Blessed that have or are coming of age in this year(s)—finding him roaming the Troll Claws, patroling the valleys and peeks in order to cull the Trolls back from the paths to Kraak Helzak, has been his greatest activity of late.

Some also would tell of how Hurgon has often make the trek to the village of Soubar, where he does tradework for the Clans, and as well, has been seeking collaboration with Bart the Wagoneer, in order to bring more trade and travel to the 'Holy Anvil'.

A wizard in green robes entered the fortress of Kraak Helzak after a long and dangerous journey throught he troll infested claw. There he met with Ambassador of the Holy Anvil and apparently the two seemed familiar with each other. The two talked in lenght of something, perhaps of importance or not. After the talks the two would be seen toasting over dwarven ale joined by a third, a weary traveling stout. The wizard know as Halron would have taken his leave soon after the drink, leaving the dwarves to their doings. The wizard might taken some missteps on his way out of the fortress.

A warrior has returned from journey of several years.

The dwarf, known as Kreigar, returned with as few words and little explanation as he went.

To those few dwarven guardsmen he bothered to talk to when last he clattered his way out the gate, all they recalled of the last time he disappeared with a white-knuckled grip on his blade and a murderous look in his eye. When prompted as to what brought forth such aggression, his only response was "Family business."

Apparently, one might surmise that his "family business" has since been settled. However, since his return, he's been taciturn and prone to sitting with mug in hand but with jaw clenched in stony silence while brooding into the depths of his drink. As such, one might also surmise that his "family business" did not end well.

Still, he puts himself at the service of Kraak Helzak once more, inquiring after affairs and promising a willing and ready blade should need arise.

The Kraak Helzak main gate, early in the dawning of 3 Alturiak, 1354:

With the first rays of the sun just warming the eastern slopes of the mountains, and the fog still thick within the valleys, a great cry echoed from the path up to the main gate. Running with surprising speed, and not a few cursed words, an elderly dwarf in poorly spun robes pelted up the path pursued by a number of furious trolls.

Launching himself through the gates and upon the merciful intervention of the guards, the elderly dwarf quickly sought a defensive position behind the guards. The Kraak Helzac guards quickly and effectively dealt with the unusually aggressive and clearly irate trolls, but as their cold bodies were thrown into a ravine, the guards could see no sign of the elderly dwarf himself.

Later in the afternoon, a raucous and drunken brawl disrupted the tap room within the keep. An unknown elderly dwarf was seen making close friends with a few of the residents, but though excessively drunk, seemed uninjured and so wasn't thought to have been directly involved.

Image

That evening, sat quiet in the corner of the taproom, the same elder was seen deep in discussion with a number of younger dwarfs. One of the barmaids giggled when asked who he was and gave his name as 'Odin'.

Subject: Kraak Helzak - Call to all Clans
Steve wrote:The word travels from Kraak Helzak....

A moment of initiation and celebration will occur at the 'Holy Anvil' in the coming days, where new oaths to the King shall be made, and old oaths renewed. All Stout Folk that wish to pledge banners to Kraak Helzak are called into ceremony, and to witness a re-blessing of the actual Anvil, itself.

It is said that others than the Stout Folk are welcome, such as the Gnomish and those of "earthly" influence, to either join in or simply witness the Stone Rights and recognition of the Thunder Blessing.

// A general, open moment for IC pledging to the Kraak Helzak Allegiance of Clans. The idea is a round-the-clock event, as much as possible. Here are some definite IG times to have a KH guild member present:

Friday, February 9th at 22:00–24:00 GMT (server clock)
Saturday, February 10th at 11:00–14:00 GMT (server clock)
Saturday, February 10th at 21:00–24:00 GMT (server clock)

A first oath-taking ceremony is performed within Kraak Helzak. Two Stouts pledge their allegiance, one placed on the Axe, and one placed on the Staff.
Image
Such an event called for a celebratory keg cracking, taken within the Royal Brewery (because why go farther than the source!).
Image

Like metals drawn to the magnate stone, more Stout Folk fell into a roaming party of well-"watered" dwarves, cleansing the Troll Claws...until they roamed far enough to slay the Troll King.

Across the coast, in various locations of interest, Adolamin would visit over the course of two tenday's. The time he spends at each location would depend upon the complexity and localised significance. More often than not he can be seen walking in small slow circles around what to an unpracticed eye would be completely nothing. Sometimes he'd take small samples of soil and small stones from each location, sitting down for a time to inspect them thoroughly. Each sample would be placed in a small wooden segmented box. To a practiced eye he could be seen casting one to two minor incantations at each location, before disappearing with "pop!" to the next location.

The call for an expedition group was heard by many ears...and a fine and well-rounded group of Kraak Helzak dwarves, plus one Rock Gnome, can together to plan and organize for the Trade Council.

Image
The Upperdark was, as rumors held it to be, full of dangers...but the Dwarven party was capable of progressing, even when confronted by blood-related beings, and poison gas.

It was remarked that the "scavengers" within the mines underground, near Kraak Helzak, that something further must be done, in place of only bloodshed, between beings of shared lineage....

Entering the massive cavern below in the Upperdark, was a stunning moment for the Kraak Helzak expedition force. Their appreciation for such magnificent, sub-earthen creations, was evident.

Image
Finding Rockrun was no easy task, as the gnomish illusions did puzzle the Dwarves for some time. But when finding a lone scout of Svirfneblin blood, the party's own Rock Gnome representative, was able to parlay and obtain open passage to within the City, so the Dwarves could deliver their message to the Svirfneblin monarchs.

Image
Unfortunately, once gaining entrance to the Rockrun castle, the monarchy was not to be found...at least there. The Dwarves were given a clue to the whereabouts, but...

Image
Distraction at every turn! In a typical fashion, the Dwarves found the most appropriate spot to group and think out their next moves.

Image
It was there and then that an eye-opening encounter occurred, where a Dark Skinned Elf, the wicked Drow race, beings of blood-born evil and power hungry, cannibalistic desires and dreams of only slavery, conquest, torture, subjugation and dominance [editorialize much, Steve?!?! ] appeared.

Many questions remained unanswered....

//// Event to be continued next week (hopefully)...!!!!

For those patrolling along the corridors near the tavern, a voice can be heard belting out hearty Stout folk tunes. Peering inside one would see kin enjoying a meal and drink whilst being entertained by tales in song from near and far.

When this...

Leads to that...

The Dwarves of Kraak Helzak return to the deeper valleys and caves of the Troll...and perform yet another action to rid the region of the menace—an attempt to further secure a trade route leading from the Tradeway to the Fortress of the Holy Anvil.
