I changed the name of my character with the disguise tool bug, I changed the deity in Nexus, I changed the appearance of the character's items, and I came up with entirely new interaction tangent for that character. Is it still the same old character, or is it a new character?
It's the same old character pretending to be different - play your character sheet.
He is still the same character in disguise. HE knows the difference even if he fools some others.
He also (without RCR) has the same abilities, skills and feats.
I disagree. So here is another question:
A new character is created, it shares the same name as one the old characters, but it has different deity, different alignment, different classes, different skills, different ability scores, and it even uses a different head and hair models. Is it still the same old character? Or is the new character just pretending to be the old character in disguise.
Or what of this additional question:
If I make a character with the exact same name and character sheet as your character, down even to the minute detail of your inventory slots, am I now playing your character?
Or what if I make two characters with the exact same build? Are they the same?
Because in a way, in my opinion, the server already has a partial 100% RCR. You just need to change the name, deity, appearance, and you can easily role-play a brand new character. The changes you can make are limited, but in my opinion you can have a brand new character in this manner.
Dude it happens in your head and you're the one deciding whether the character is the same or not.
However, the way I see it, if you change the name using disguise glitch, that's an exploit.
And one more thing is that disguise glitch does not affect the name of your character's BIC file. Only in-game display name. Same applies to DM rename.
Not the first suggestion-for-100%-RCR thread in recent months. I started the last one last Nov, and it went 13 pages long but to no avail. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=62431
I feel you, Negs; I really do. And I rarely play these days, for all the reasons mentioned by the pro-100% camp in both threads.

Will you please remind me if a character can go past level 20 in a %100 rcr window? Thanks!
Yes.

I'm kinda confused by this sudden 100% RCR period. Not that I'm not thrilled about having 100% RCR as I had a fault with the voiceset of my main character when I last RCR'ed that I need to fix. But the point is I just did an RCR due to poor feat selection (my own fault, whirlwind attack seems much nice than it is) - and lost 4 levels in the process. Before I went through it I tried to search the forum, the wiki, the discord channel - I even went through the strategic planning document to see if a 100% RCR period was coming up. There wasn't any intentions towards it as far as I learned. If I only had waited 2 weeks I would'nt have lost those 90K xp...

Was announced on may 21! Due to balance changes (mostly due to hierophant now needing 19 wis minimum like shadowdancer needs 19 dex)

Thanks Hoie - This means I was only 1 week closer to not-failing Seriously I'm not miffed, but as others have pointed out, if there was a clear message about these periods it would help abit.
More salt to the wound if you RCRed at the 20th . Though assuming these changes were discussed weeks before their public reveal -at least I hope so-, a prior announcement can be made like "Yeah guys we are planning some big changes over the summer, we can't tell you what they are yet as they are still in the discussion but due to the impact of the said changes, we plan a %100 RCR period. No date specified." Instead of telling that no %100 RCR period is being planned whenever being asked though.

This is what I gathered as well. Though I can imagine the devs being annoyed at the constant asking...
