Make Remove Curse more accessible

Playing in Underdark - low pop area, obviously. Alone at the time - tromping around in the dark, doing quests, etc.

I find a pile of loot. I get hit with a cursed item - 30 pound scale mail. No biggie; I'll get to encumbered if I hit 120 or so, but no biggie. That's the price I pay for grabbing things too quickly.

...Except I can't actually find any sort of remove curse potion or scroll anywhere in Rockrun. I might be able to get one in Sshamath, but why should I have to go to Sshamath to get my curse removed? (Unless I'm missing something, the priestess doesn't have the option of removing curses, either, and there's no vendor that can help me.)

This sort of thing has happened before on other characters. I feel like most major hubs should have access to Remove Curse items in some way, elsewise some unlucky sot is going to pick up Cursed Full Plate on a low strength character and life will be terrible.

Please consider making Remove Curse more accessible. At the least, can priests be given a dialogue option to remove people's curses for <X> gold?

Mudds might sell wands of it from time to time; Rania makes them and lists them for cheap. I often drop remove curse scrolls and potions in the donation chest at the FAI.

Wands are great if you have UMD. Not everyone does! And the Underdark has little enough traffic that I feel it's exacerbating the issue at hand for me (can't stop and ask if anyone at the local campfire hangout is a cleric because there IS no local campfire hangout).

Having cleric/priest NPCs have a "remove curse" conversation option would go a long way to fixing the issue, in my opinion.

Sometimes a character just needs to carry those 10 remove curse scrolls on themselves, so whenever they encounter a Bard, Cleric, Favored Soul, Paladin, Sorcerer, Wizard, or UMD user, they can just ask the scroll to be cast. And yes, it can be a little harder in Underdark due to lower player populations, and well, drow being drow.

So yeah, since some priests do actually remove negative levels while others do not, I guess there would be no harm with some priest removing curses. Even if it costs 500 or 1000 gp a pop.

Remove Curse scrolls available from the Beholder merchant in Sshamath's Bazaar.

My character (not a drow!) is hanging out in Upperdark a fair bit of late. If you're really desperate you can pay her money and get your curse abjured

Yeah it really is annoying for cursed low level characters.
And that happens all the time to me.

In times with ~20 people on, its often difficult to find one nearby.

Once you have enough UMD, one usually has the cleric boots (with rem curse) also.


Please add remove curse to temples as a service.
