I know what you mean though, the first time I saw a spikey haired, muscular, giant sword wielding warrior I was just kind of like......"....oh.....I can finally rest, <insert japanese anime/jrpg character name> is here!"

How long until we get thaumaturges summoning elemental's with anime names and fighting each other while wearing orange jumpsuits?

It's probably a trend that won't last.....it's attractive because it's newer material and breaks up the clones that all look alike. Diversity is good!

They're called 'weeaboos'.

Actually, a lot of the standard hair styles are quite common hair lengths. People who have hair down to their waist are - if you take a look around in the world - relatively rare!

Also, anime is poison.

I used to like anime when I was younger and it was new to me.

After awhile, it just lost it's lure. Just like Game of Thrones after the Hollywood writers took it over.

It's industry produced crap that insults the intelligence and emotional maturity of the viewer under a disguise of 'never before seen on network television', while pandering and reinforcing the very artificial stereotypes it claims to portray as a unique story.

There should never have been a "Final Fantasy 2" or onward, as it completely undermines the notion of the word "Final". Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the few, gritty stories that introduced mature RL themes under the FF IP, and they didn't have Anime hair due to its medievil and raw setting. Permadeath was also a thing, one of the few FF's that had such a mechanic (that wasn't shoehorned in like Aeriel's 'traumatic' death in FF7).

Even then, the re-release of FF Tactics saw drastic rewording of the story due to it being considered "too mature" for it's general audience. Glad I have the original copy still.

Request....Someone add this face to selectable head models and then run some kind of script to make all of Snarfy's characters have it...just for like a week (or a year... )

You've been visited by Anime police, no ticket today, but be careful next time.

Granted, it was the last of the classic battle system (not counting FF4: The After Years) and I did enjoy the game. I actually played every other Final Fantasy game before this, I loved the series.

Then they changed the battle system and I've hated everything since. Never played another FF game after X.

I dunno. It seems to me that there's enough long hair to choose from to dissuade anyone with eyesight from choosing these abominations...

... and then there's the plethora of new emo hairdo's, many of which are floating around out in IC land, all gel'd up and ready to take on our beloved perpetual rain.

Left side is pretty tame. I'm pretty sure the bottom left is Aelcar if he'd go and get his curls ironed. Top left is simply long hair in pony tail - a bit too much fringe/loose hair but

Jyn has a lot of fringe/loose hair too and she's got good hair. Imho at least.
Do you really think Jyn's hair in that picture looks even remotely comparable to the other hairstyles?

Quotes too long to quote. CBA to fix.

Upper-left: yes!

It's not entirely it, but it's the closest.
