That is a good point, Hoihe: the majority of Areas have mobs that work to prevent your stay there. And if you're Build is incapable of soloing through them, even if just to pass through said Area, you can't.
But, there are ways. Potions of Invisibility to get around until you find others to engage.
But like Invoker said: the only way to find BGTSCC difficult in any way, is to purposefully gimp your Build. It is probably also fair to mention that if you're a newb to NWN2 and D&D, you'll find some struggle for the first few weeks.
But really, the learning curve for BGTSCC isn't that difficult. Plus, everyone has access to the Forums and the community for help.

Re: Imagine
When I speak of a balanced party I don't think in terms of power building. I think in terms of a more 'standard' D&D party, such as a caster Wizard and a caster Cleric (i.e. WIS is the primary stat with CHA secondary, making STR the third stat at best). The 'Tank' Would be either a Fighter, Barbarian or Paladin, or I suppose a SB/Duelist type INT/DEX build, but NOT a Cleric/FvS/Bard that can do it better (though I would argue can't do it better than a Barbarian with the changes to BG). There are a few area's where a rogue does get to shine (chests that must be picked, traps that can seriously hurt, enemies that are better to take out first, etc), but such area's are unfortunately rare.
My point is that while there are players that build uber character specifically to solo content or level faster, if the experience you are looking for is to get together with a small group of fellow players and level up together that IS supported on this server. I have done it twice. Once to level 21 and more recently we only made it to level 7, mostly because work got busy for me and I wasn't able to log in for a few months straight (sorry to those players that were a part of that little adventure team!) In fact I would argue that style of play is honestly the most fun you can have without a DM present. Of course "fun" is subjective, but outside of a few very specific scenarios where I have run in to RP that was out of this world (for me), the setup of building a party and meeting up once/twice a week with others for a few hours of play is the best experience one can hope for in this type of environment.
Now, those who have played with me often enough know that my schedule is rarely open enough for frequent play, so if I can put together a group to build stories with and run around having adventures with, anyone can! My advice, don't run quests, just meet up and interact with each other and whoever you meet. Many players and DMs will take the time to give hooks to such groups and even when they don't, taking time walking through a dungeon and ALLOWING each other to shine is what makes it fun. Let the Rogue handle scouting, locks and trap...Let the heal instead of spamming healing kits...Let the Barbarian spaz out in RP and not just while handling mobs...you get the idea.
Hoihe, to your point, make a post, tell people when you can be open for play and I bet you get at least 2 or 3 people (likely more) interested in starting a PC that can play during your available times within a couple days. Seriously, so long as you are willing to start it like you would start a PnP group, it will go well. Come up with a concept together and have a baseline, such as we are going to be a <insert good, evil, neutral, lawful, chaotic> party with a goal of <treasure hunting, mercenary work, cleansing evil, causing havoc> and whatever other parameters you want to set. Be willing to integrate what others are looking for in their play to your general ideas and everyone will have fun.

When someone uses words like "fault" on a joke thread, I always have the feeling we could use a "sarcasm" sign...Clearly, it's my fault
Have a giggle, mate. Take it easy

Sorry, couldn't resist. No offense.
This twisted culture got you feeding from its hand
But you will lose that food if you don't meet all their demands
And loyal is the soldier that gets slaughtered with the lambs
Examining the blueprints got you questioning the plans
