Sometime during the night, shouting could be heard from the upper floors of the Halls. A brief, but ferocious scuffle was heard to take place, and in the aftermath, what sounded to be the Moonlady in a state of abject terror, weeping and screaming over nightmarish things only she seemed to see, before at long last a cure for her condition was discovered and the woman left gratefully hugging both a human mage and an elven priestess, the two who had fought for her life and sanity and won.

After having travelling around the New Year and thereabouts, Adelaide would have returned to Baldur's Gate but kept a more discreet presence in public and dressed in more layers. She continues with visiting a few acquaintances and people at court and giving guidance to those who sought such from a priestess of Sune. Lately, she has been keeping herself in more seclusion and prayer in the Halls of Inner Light.
Power is the most persuasive rhetoric.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Please congratulate Quiet Guide Dove Starglow and the new High Lady Juno Serra, both who are now full members of the Halls and council as they are beginning the process of leading the Halls into a glorious new period of activity and growth.
For myself, I wish to thank you all for the opportunity to serve as Moonlady. It has been my great honor to serve both the Halls and the citizens of Baldur's Gate, but as those who know me know, my heart and my calling rests on another path. It is for that reason I have retired as Moonlady, but will remain a member of the Halls to continue to serve, though in a lesser capacity as I assume my new duties as an acolyte in Candlekeep, where I will be working in the clinic and returning to my research in numerous healing areas.
May Selune shine her light and love upon you all,
Rania Marie Ragnon

The days following the Moonlady's announcement find the new Sunite councilor in slight disarray. Some measure of bewilderment at her new role is evident in her nervous smiles, but it is not long before time spent among the acolytes and clergy of the Halls eases her doubts and inspires a flurry of activity.
After discussions with the councilor of Eldath and Juno's customary patrol of the farmlands, evening finds the paladin slowly pacing the confines of her office, unable to sit still even as she reads through recent correspondence.
A thoughtful hum passes her lips. "Oozes, ghouls, and Drow. An auspicious start."
Re-reading the most curious of these missives - seemingly penned by two different hands - draws an idle smile, and she sits to write a response. It and several notes are sealed with scarlet wax and handed off to an acolyte for delivery around the city.

In a similar vein, the new Quiet Guide is often seen amidst swarms of acolytes handing out paperwork. She seemed loathe to remain in an office to do her paperwork though and was often seen exiting the Halls with a bundle. Some would see her out by the fire in the farmlands, others by the one at the Friendly Arm, and a scattered few might see her at her goddess' shrine in the Reaching Woods. While she seemed overwhelmed, she continued to go about the work with her usual calm demeanor and determination.
The Quiet Guide, after discussions with the High Lady, also seems to be making preparations for journeying around the Coast. Talk around the Halls seems to indicate she means to make the effort to visit the clergy of the good temples of the Coast and allies of the Halls of Inner Light outside of the Baldur's Gate. Where all she intends to go and when remains a topic of speculation though.

On the 21th of Tarsakh a dewy-eyed woman walks in to the Halls with two heavy bags in hand. She enters almost apologetically and with a doleful look about her. She turns back to speak in quiet tones to the guard Daven. "Where can i find a priest or priestess of Sune?"

Maria waits in the festhall patiently with a glass of water and out of everyone's way.

(OOC: Posting this to the correct forum now...)
Chatter about the Greengrass festival continues for the next few days, extolling the lively atmosphere, masterfully-poured libations, and spirited music that kept the party going well into the evening hours.
The revelers left standing were led in a promenade through the streets of Baldur's Gate, scattering petals and handing out flowers, before arriving under the great oak in the eastern farmlands. An oft-seen druidess called upon the blessings of the Oak Father, Silvanus, into the land as the celebrants imparted their own small offerings of wood and flower into the soil.
Then the merry company departed with laughter and high spirits.

Re: The Halls of Inner Light Rp thread
The last several days have seen a steady increase of activity among the staff of the Halls of Inner Light. The Sunite councilor is seen consulting with the heads of the clinic, kitchens, and temple guards, making requests for increased supplies in the form of healing kits, fresh water - to be tested for poison prior to secured storage - and the servicing of any fighting equipment. The confirmation of a moving troll army to the north and the threat it poses to the Fields of the Dead's villages is cited as the impetus for these preparations.
Resident clerics, paladins, and guardsmen in particular are consulted and urged to lend their aid outside of the city walls should a threat make its way to the city outskirts.
"Those not tasked with the defense of this sanctuary will lend their strength and support to the Flaming Fist and other allies of the Gate. I will be upon the field, for we must not allow the enemy to gain ground outside our doorstep.
"Heal the wounded, ward the soldiers, and bear the gravely injured back to sanctuary if need be. Those who can fight, I will smile to see you at my side in battle.
"Show no fear, and let your spirits shine with those who stand against the darkness."

Re: The Halls of Inner Light Rp thread
*The sound of pots and pans, sweeping and scrubbing, and clutter being spread out, cleaned, and then re-organized can be heard in the Fest Hall. A hooded woman, keen to accomplish a task she'd been given, sees to it that every inch of the kitchen and its stores is combed over to ensure maximum cleanliness and safety. Not only is the kitchen and larder tidied and scrubbed and its contents carefully scrutinized, but it's also slightly re-organized, obviously in the interest of making more efficient use of space in order to free up room for additional supplies.
What's more, once the tidying business is concluded, the hooded woman sets the acolytes (and herself) to the task of preparing a large amount of field rations to be set aside for those marching off in the region's defense. Simple, long-keeping, and nutritious is the goal, and the Halls have the recipes and the ingredients to do it.
The entire enterprise is finished before the sun goes down, and the masses of carefully-prepared rations are set aside, ready to deploy come morning. Everyone retires early, naturally, to rest as much as they're able for the trying days to come.*

Re: The Halls of Inner Light Rp thread
Late one evening, the Sunite councilor is seen entering the temple foyer - in strangely blackened armor - in the company of various companions. At the paladin's side is spotted a fell-looking blade, its wicked edges coated in frost.
There is some discussion about what's to be done with the evil weapon, and some debate is had over how it shall be destroyed. Juno can be heard agreeing to meet with the paladin of Mystra Nez'kreal to discuss casting the item back into the Weave, but seems to prefer a holy smiting of the item herself. It is determined that they will have twenty-four hours to decide and take action.
During the night and throughout the next day, Juno is not seen without the blade, keeping it at her belt in a simple sheath, its pommel wrapped in red linen blessed with holy water. At night it is by her side, and wards of protection and a magic circle against evil forces are cast.

Meanwhile, considerably less heroically but no less dutifully a certain hooded woman braves removing her hood in the Fest Hall kitchen to sing and make soup.
A lot of soup.
It turns out she had managed to catch a couple of rabbits (naturally she shed several tears and prayers for each) with her new crossbow, and has taken it upon herself to ensure that the Lathanderite saying, "from death, life", rings true in the form of a huge pot of rabbit and vegetable soup, which she offers freely to any hungry soul.
Those interested in such get a free sermon to go with their soup.

The Selunite presence of the Halls can be seen darting in and out often of late, usually with either an arm full of missives or an arm full of healing supplies she leaves behind. She always pauses to speak with those who wish to chat, offering her aid to those who need it. Sometimes, she can even be heard to sing from the inner sanctum, songs of praise to her goddess, before she dashes out again.

Its early evening and Fingal Darius enters the Halls of Inner Light. In his hand he carries a red envelope, he hands this off to a guard hoping the guard will deliver this to Lady Juno. Before he leaves, he hands the guard a bag of gold as a thanks for his service.
