Archmage Reineke Villame can be seen spending a lot of time around the Friendly Arm Inn. When asked, he lets people know that until the guild can build a guildhall, he is keeping a room at the Friendly Arm Inn as an office. This is a place where people can leave correspondence for him, any of the headmasters, or any of the guild members should they need a place to be reached.

Throughout the day, he can be seen entering and leaving the room several times per day. He often opens the door for guild members, allowing them to peruse and file reports, discuss research, and other guild business.

Frin Falenfold stumbles into the office tavern room for a short while, and the sound of scribbling can be heard before she leaves, minutes later, whistling innocently.

Halron visits the rented room carrying paper, ink and quill with him. Some moment later he leaves the room with empty hands.

The day came, announced in advance to members of the guild, and Headmaster Sirion Te'dwa, Apprentice Natariél, Apprentice Dimitry Kolovitz, and Apprentice Frin Falenfold met outside of the Friendly Arm Inn and traveled together to the Wood of Sharp Teeth to the village of Doron Amar, joined by one Elora Aravae. There they met with Councilor Elyssa Symbaern on their way to the Teltirith'Faer. For the next couple of hours pairs of two entered the ring on the third floor of the tower to test their spells against one another in the rite of mageduel.

Losses and wins both were largely taken in good spirit, comments spoken in low tones among the spectating mages as each next pair sparred. Tiani, one of the villagers, made an appearance and participated in a duel before going to rest, and Elyssa Symbaern, first there to oversee the proceedings, eventually participated in a few duels of her own.

In one of the last duels one mage was pushed too far, first turned into a cat and then having her feet enlarged, and in response released a particularly foul spell. The severity of this was immediately addressed by the Councilor, and after one final duel the gathering was brought to an end. The mages were escorted out of the village where they said their farewells, and Headmaster Sirion stayed behind to discuss the event.

Several members of the Sword Coast Guild of the Arcane can be seen entering the Friendly Arm Inn this morning. Roughly a half dozen members attended a meeting that lasted for a few hours.

Afterwards, some of them could be seen patronizing Bentley's establishment, ordering food and drinks.

Archmage and Headmaster of the Spellblades Reineke Villame puts up a notice congratulating Frin Falenfold on her promotion from Apprentice Spellblade to Journeyman Spellblade.

Besides having been with the guild for a time, Journeyman Falenfold has proven herself adept in the arcane, and that she has the ability to think on her feet in a combat situation.

This decision is effective as of 10 Alturiak, 1354.

Once again a number of mages met to practice their spells in duels, one against another. As the night progressed some adventurers passed by the site just off the tradeway south of Beregost, and a few stopped to watch from time to time. Spells were slung back and forth, mages disappeared and appeared again somewhere else to make all kinds of colorful displays, or even change their form to fight with the strength of their newly acquired limbs.

On the eve of the 19th of The Claw of Winter 1354 DR a small and motley group of adventurers entered the northern farmlands outside of Baldur's Gate. Most of them apparently there to observe as, for a time, the light of spells flashed from the arena.

To members of the guild it was announced by letter that the wizardess Natariél had advanced to the rank of Journeyman.

Halron would drop by the office room in the Friendly Arms Inn briefly before heading towards North where originally he came from.

On the night before the 25th of The Claw of Winter 1354 DR five mages traveled to Durlag Trollkiller's tower, with little interest in the tower itself but what ruins of ancient Netheril lay below. Through the depths of the tower they descended, and the searing tunnels, leaving most everything as it was before their passing, till finally they arrived at the entrance of the ruins.

They found among the ruins a shimmering orb placed in the center of a room, and another matching orb across a molten sea of lava. So close and yet so far away, to continue their exploration they gathered around the orb and activated it.

On the Plane of Shadow the place was the same and yet different, some doors open that were locked on the Prime. In broad agreement that the maps Sirion had brought were beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, the mages began to explore the ruins on a journey that went back and forth between the planes. In the end, after several close brushes with death, they left with their lives and returned in a flash of light to the safety of the Friendly Arm Inn.

Already precautions for a next expedition were being discussed.

On the eve of the 15th of the Claw of the Sunsets people began to flock to the conference room in the Friendly Arm Inn. After a candlemark and a half or two they eventually began to take their leave one by one.

To those who would recognize them, largely members of the Arcane Guild.

Observant guests of the inn could overhear enough to conclude a lecture and debate had been held on some form of magic.

A scroll, addressed to Archmage Reineke Villame is left at the Friendly Arms Inn. The seal indicates that it is from Malign Ashmeddai, Magi.

On the 6th of the Claw of the Storms outside the Friendly Arm Inn, a crowd of mostly mages gathered one by one, conversing as they waited for others to arrive. Once ready to depart they formed a circle and disappeared in a flash of light.

A short time after, they appeared atop a hill southeast of Gullykin where throughout the evening one spell after another flew back and forth as pairs of mages tested themselves against eachother.

Five of the mages returned to find the Friendly Arm Inn under attack by orcs, and did not hesitate to join the defense.
