What's the status of elves in Roaringshore?

Unread post by Hoihe »

Hello!

During the time when Sea Wolf was owned by Kalma Hellstorm, elves were heavily discriminated against in Roaringshore and it was fairly dangerous for one to visit.

Is it still the case, NPC-wise?

The status of elves, currently, has not changed much in Roaringshore. Except maybe for worse. Elves in Roaringshore are discriminated, distrusted, persecuted and even often would be targets for murder should one find oneself in Roaringshore. Elves are considered universally a Goodly Race, and one that does not mesh well with such ideas like piracy or other shady happenings that may or may not be going down in Roaringshore.

Elves in Roaringshore are always in immidiate danger of being shanked between ribs or worse.

As a player of a sailor elf who has to visit Roaringshore for one reason or another, how should I go about doing it without metagaming NPC reactions? Are disguises then considered mandatory, be they magical or mundane?

Disguises are, indeed, mandatory. The other way around it is that you can naturally send someone else in your stead, someone who's not an elf.

Protection from someone with certain renown or status in Roaringshore is also a possibility.
