The Song of the Morning Temple RP Thread

A long absent presence from the temple, barefoot and humbled, meanders slowly back into Beregost. He stops and speaks with the Most Radiant briefly, both nodding and shaking his head to the questions forthcoming, the details kept between the pair. The impoverished and seemingly malnourished deacon, scribe and self declared groundskeeper vanishes briefly to his chambers before striking out north from the temple once more, determination on his countenance and purpose in his step. His long, slender legs chew up the distance as his unencumbered form fades away rapidly.

A weary and someone unkempt Kellan returns to the Song of the Morning and converses quietly with the Most Radiant Kelddath Ormlyr. He speaks furtively for several minutes, gesturing vaguely north and west. He asks the Most Radiant to order an investigation into the strange happenings in the far Northwestern Cloakwood. Kellan describes a strengthening of the living dead in the wood, where once they were contained in their dark mansion. Finally, he asks leave from the church to travel to the Gate and seek support from the Radiant Heart Auxiliary and the Halls of Inner Light, as the Church of Lathander's numbers have been waning of recent months. When the bequest is granted, Kellan spends only the small amount of time to replenish his supplies, not even bothering to wash the road dust from his robes before setting back out, his pack secured over his shoulders.

Saul Aurora, Guardian of the temple was seen hanging up some flyers around the Morning Song and inside.
He also carried this message to the surrounding and outern farms, underlining that this event is for them.

Saul Aurora has taken the donations from the Harvest Festival directly to the farmer community. It was said that a small fortune has been donated and will be divided among the farmers who need it the most. Since Saul has kept a list, that part seemed fairly doable.


Names of the people and organisations/factions/guilds were mentioned on the list, but details of the amount they have donated were left out.

As mentioned on the festival, any donations to Beregost's farmer community are still welcome. People can turn to either Saul Aurora, Guardian of the Morning Song Temple and charity worker of the Foxy Four, or Freya Evans, one of the founding members of the Foxy Four.

This information would be mentioned on a note near the Morning Song, and in a various places. It would also thank the people who have donated and who have attended to celebrate the end of the harvest.

Rumor has it that Candlekeep and various other organisations have taken interest in next year's crops produced by the farmers of Beregost.

Some more impressions of the Harvest festival

In recent days the very recognizable figure of a tall paladin in a flowing golden cloak may have been spotted visiting the Song of the Morning within Beregost. He seems kindly and familiar in manner to those townfolk that might greet him on any of the occasions he is seen, but it is clear that he also conducts himself as dutifully as ever. Even, perhaps, seeming to be absorbed with mingled hope and urgent business that takes him each visit into the Most Radiant's private audience.

A redheaded lady steps into the temple and hands a personal invitation over to the Priest, in form of an envelope. She expresses it as being an invitation to members of the temple from the couple to be wed.

Within the last few days, a quiet woman, her visage obscured by a cloudy-white hood, has begun spending a considerable amount of time within the Song of the Morning. She openly wears the holy symbol of Lathander. She speaks at length with the High Priest, Kelddath Ormlyr, every time she visits.

A notice goes up outside the Song of the Morning after a man in a golden cloak - though with an unusually pale visage and splashed with blood - pays a short visit to the Most Radiant Kelddath Ormlyr. This warns of the dangers of red moths that might be found in the region and mention is also made of two missing men with the crest of House Rast upon their person, complete with a rough description of both. Sightings of either the moths or the men are asked to be reported to Grand Knight Eldarian Al'maire of the Radiant Heart Auxiliary.

A paladin in etched holy armor strides toward the Song of the Morning, the sheen from the metal he wears reflecting onto the cobbles with each step taken. He casts a keen glance over the streets of the town as he moves, navigating automatically, his golden eyes taking in the denizens of Beregost with a friendly demeanor and a gloved hand lifted in greeting. He hails the templars on duty with a hearty slap of the shoulder and a warm joke before attending to his errand within the temple of his God.

Aaron Lyonaler, Knight of the Radiant Heart, sends a courier with a note to request a meeting with any with authority within the Temple at their earliest convenience.

The grizzled old priest Harrison Remillard is seen entering Beregost from the North late in the afternoon, having walked all day from the Friendly Arm Inn. His manner expressing prolonged fatigue, and his attire one that has done much recent battle. He'd greet the local citizens in the township as he passes them in a courteous manner, all the while making his way back to the Song of the Morning Temple. Sharing a brief meal with his fellow brothers and sisters in one of the many refectories, the topic of recent battles in the North against the infernal invasive forces would take much of the discussion at the table that eve.

A fresh-faced woman with a spring in her step arrives at the Song of the Morning with two others: a man in a long coat and a faithful of Helm. She and the man linger, taking in the sights of the temple. The woman, who introduces herself as Kiera, drops off a short missive for Morninglord Harrison Remillard:

Honored Morninglord:

I would like to register my presence in the region and leave myself at your disposal for missions in service of the Dawnbringer. I am accompanied by, Jacho, who has been a steadfast and reliable companion during my months in training in Waterdeep. I am obviously interested in membership in service to our Lord. Please inform me of the proper protocol so I may be of service. I am sure there's an inn in this town. You can leave a reply for me there.

A couple dressed in gold visit the Song of Morning in Beregost to have their new contract - an engagement - blessed by the clergy. The local priest Harrison conducted the blessing, witnessed by a paladin named Kiera.
