Man-at-Arms Builds

Hi guys, another build question. I have a level 11 Human Man-at-Arms, and am wondering what the long term viability is. I'd like to be effective solo and in a group. Enough DPS that fights aren't super slow. Thoughts?

M@A is a rock solid class that is very viable with many combinations. The best (IMO) is to pair with either 4 levels of Blackguard, 3 levels of Cleric or 5 levels of Paladin, going for Divine Shield and EDM (STR and CHA must both be 21 by level 28 in order to qualify for EDM at 29). Even without EDM, you can make a very good M@A, but with EDM I would say it is up there with the very best (possibly the best) overall melee builds. It isn't going to hit insane numbers of damage like a WM/FB combo, but it is far more survivable.

Nice. So the 5 levels of Paladin are sufficient for Divine Might? Thanks guys!

You can take Divine Might at Paladin level 4, you need Paladin level 5 for Divine Shield which gives you even more AC, and you should be able to to take Epic Divine Might at any epic level.
