Right back at you, Slunko! Dar'gul used his spells well, and Monad's distaste for magic has been reinforced. :P

Thank you for the RP! Looking forward to round 3. :D

Just wanted to congratulate/hug whoever involved on the decision to remove the rest timer. I know that such a decision must have been difficult on the staff and there would have been a degree of discussion around it. I recently came back to the server after a little break, and I was really happy to see such a positive change implemented. No more "afk for 20 minutes" after testing a few spells, or doing a brief stunt with per/day items/feats/spells. It's really a step forward, and it just made me happy to see BG move to support the "video game" part of "video game medium".

Peace, y'all! <3

Unintentional. It's getting fixed.

There's nothing good about trivialising spell conservation even more and making grinding even easier.

EDIT: It has been fixed already, that is.

Thank you SothereIwas for a fun bit of adventure RP this afternoon. I actually don't think I have ever thoroughly explored the Minotaur labyrinth since I figured out "the path"TM. So again, thanks for letting me lead you blindly through the place! Wish more impromptu meetings could grow in to a nice adventure with RP included!

Today I think is a good day to stop for a moment and thank a few people in general who've been memorable on my way here since I started playing a few months ago. Don't take it as a goodbye thing, just a retrospection I wanted to do for a while already.

Of course I will forget someone important, it's inevitable, and also I might have forgotten some names, got them wrong, and all these things. Anyway, here it goes.

Wayfarer (E'amrae and Lilith): You're the obvious one, I'll get you right out of the way because you know this anyhow. You picked me up at a low point and put me through an unbelievable roleplay rollercoaster. Thank you for showing so much love for my characters, so much intense and meaningful RP, and for your friendship.

SteadilyAdrift (Ilias): You probably won't read this anymore, having moved on long ago. If you were still here, maybe you would've actually found what you've been looking for, you'd been surprised. You were my first comrade here, IC and OOC, and I've really missed you (and Lydia Ilias).

Gemma and Layne: Thanks for being there for my anxious elf, I know it didn't exactly end on a high note but you've often been a safe roleplay haven when things got too rough, it was always enjoyable and lighthearted hanging out with you two, and at times, very intense.

Heath the dwarf: Here's the first character who's name I don't remember completely anymore, nor the player name. Back when Lydia was active with Ilias (or was it Fadra?) I ran into you sometimes, you must've quit shortly after Steadily, before that I think you pretty much lived in the Gibberling caves :) . For me you were the prime example for a lowkey, overlooked roleplayer who always shone when we interacted, and I wish we had interacted more, truly lost potential.

MasterSilke: Hell I don't remember the character's name anymore! The first one who approached me/Lydia in RP when I was new, and even if she had to shoot down his advances at some point I'm very thankful for that! :)

Ravial/Laeria: We only roleplayed more extensively in the past week, which is a shame, because since early on I know you are very approachable, roleplay with you is immersive and meaningful, and you always do a lot to get new people involved. I know you tried with Lydia a long time ago, after our ship ride, and I somewhat dropped the ball on it. Sorry for that.

Pen and Ink/Pokey and Loch: You've been a constant for me on the server, and one who often put a smile on my face. What a surprise to find out what a nasty little arse Pokey can be when he poured that stink potion over Lydia's boots! Thanks for that, it was one of those really funny situations I often think back to.

Winterborne/Nathan: One of my first examples of wrong impression IC, Nathan's been great and sometimes you only notice this once things go haywire and think "who's the most trustworthy person I can think of? Oh!". :D Thanks for all the good roleplay in recent times!

Jadoff the worst ;) : You deserve some extra cudos alone for the RP a few days ago. I was utterly dumbfounded to find out what a fragile character he actually is, which was a very memorable roleplay moment.

The bards: Huego, Desmodu. Two highly talented and influential artists to my characters. Loved Huego's fireside songs and chats with Lydia, you're truly a TKL Lute master, and Desmodu's standup at the Mask theatre was one of my earliest player-initiated RP events which I really enjoyed. Even the "song to lower body parts battle" was fun until a certain disruption happened...

Bunnysmack/Morich: Unfortunately we didn't get as much rp as planned, but the two situations so far were pretty intense and great roleplay.

DM Dreamcatcher: This was my first and only serious DM interaction with one of my characters, Fadra, which I'm thankful for. It was quite chaotic and I'm sorry I couldn't see it through to the end due to RL scheduling issues, but thank you for the opportunity.

There are so many more I should mention who I've got not nearly enough RP with... Tialysana (no, Aniel did NOT not like her! the opposite!) Mellenip, Oth, Talora, Rebecca,... I'm sorry to all those that didn't come to my mind since I started writing this, I'm sure tomorrow I'll reread in shock and either delete the whole thing or add a dozen other names.

Alright, so with the birdnapping plot concluded for the large part...I have a lot of people to thank!

First of all, I would like to thank Bunnysmack, the player of Olan and Ferrick for being a wonderful co-conspirator over the course of plotting all this. Starting from the first conversation, it was clear we were on the same page for making an intelligent and potentially difficult to solve plot with a villain that behaved in a way you'd expect an intelligent villain to act. It was a wonderful ride to see what all you came up with. This was especially true when it came to seeing the things we'd discussed on the metaphorical drawing board actually RP'd out in the world and becoming part of our characters stories. The use of Entropic Husk was inspired. I also appreciate that the attempts to keep things moving made you realize you might be too meta-entangled and to back off with Ferrick while still giving people information on things to try. It was all enormous fun. <3

Next, I would like to thank all of the UD players I got to interact with and DM DragonClaw, I think, for all the interesting times Dove had in the depths. From her waking and barely able to breathe through to the escort to the surface is was a memorable ride. I'd like to highlight the contributions of the Spider Militant players of Aunrae, Lyth, and Nargazul in particular. Aunrae's bizarre questions regarding emotions while looming over Dove when she could barely move were lovely and kept her confused and questioning the nature of drow. Lyth's quiet words of friendship, whether true or false, were likewise a wonderful moment to test if Dove could think and retain her wisdom even as her body was failing. Nargazul's maddened flailing and the inability to tell which way he would go next were lovely, but I want to particularly thank you for the moment where he began to strangle her. You motivated the reflexive action to fall back on her training that lead Dove to maintain her defiance of fear and pain until she was knocked senseless. DM DragonClaw and random bureaucratic drow player, I can only say I did not expect that to be the way Dove would get out of that situation. It was such a bizarre experience for her and it built of the sense of being lost in a world so alien that Dove knew no of the rules and all she had left was to hope that things would go well. Bregan players, you all know what you did. The comfort and intrigue of Bregan made for an excellent capstone to Dove's time below ground where she had to decide what to say, how to say it, and what to simply accept and let go when at the mercy of Bregan as its ward after her rather strange rescue. Keeping her on her toes with kindness and simple talk combined with her knowing it was a highly political situation was just fun.

To the surface players who organized and worried, thank you all for being invested enough in Dove to care. Early on in playing Dove I often worried she would simply be ignored because of her pacifist nature, but so many of you took the time to speak with her, even if you didn't agree with her, and became her friends...or at least not her enemies...most of you. The various scrambled plans I'd hear about, the aborted ones, the failed one, and the ones in planning were a testament to the player base reacting to IG events. I look forward to continuing to explore the aftermath of the plot with you all as Dove tries to adapt to everything that the plot changed or introduced in her life and the inevitable intrigues to follow.

Thank you BGTSCC for a wonderful plot and here's to many more.

Kudos to those involved in my rp with the situation with Dove. The futile chase led by Cathon all over the coast and the intention of the others in our group, (Oth, Jadoth, Nathan, Iris), to follow him when we knew where Dove was from the start annoyed him to no end. When the time finally came to go to the UD everyone turning chicken pissed him off to the point where he decided to do it himself.

He could not have gotten anywhere or escaped without Lyth's help and information. The rp with Gerfrex and Exo in disguise trying to out-evil each other in a (relatively friendly) verbal contest was hilarious. And of course his friend at Bregan, (Galawyn), managed to pull it off were he failed. Thanks also to Thedran... was the last person he expected to find in disguise in the UD.

Was super fun.

A big thank you to DM Doom. Few DM's could deal with the soul crushing crashes, body snatches and event rewrite up at the same time. I hope i have not demoralized you to much with this frustration :D.

An enormous Thank You goes out to AoS- Thanks for all the work you put in that made everyone's lives around here easier, and more enjoyable; and thank you for the extraordinarily in-depth characters you brought into play. RPing with you was a true pleasure. I'm certain the server and community are going to feel your absence keenly.

i remember the first time i RPed with you and was blown away by your skill. I have been working to someday be half as quality a player as you ever since. you are in inspiration to me in RP and you have done much to improve the quality of life for the players that frequent the server.

Thank You and i hope the best for whatever you are doing

Subject: State of the Server (2017-2018)
Maecius wrote:30 July 2018

Hi everyone,

Starting sometime in September, we will be opening up a 100% RCR period. The period will likely last about one month, and we'll announce an exact date when we get a little closer to it.

We intend to do this for a handful of reasons:

1) We will be releasing a lot of new faces and other aesthetics in the coming weeks, and we want people to be able to play the character appearances they feel best suit their characters;
2) We would like to release a new class or some additional systems during this period (over the next month or two), and want people to be able to take advantage of them if we're able to do so in time;
And 3) We feel it would help with some of the stagnation players feel about their characters or their place on the server, until we can begin introducing more dynamic map changes and some other neat systems we're intending to move forward on in the next several months.

Again, we don't have an exact date just yet -- just that we're planning for sometime in September. But we wanted to let everyone know that this is "in the works," so that it's something players can be cognizant of in deciding whether to RCR in the meantime. We don't want anyone to be caught off-guard RCRing like the day before we unleash 100% RCRs. :D

Thanks everyone. Let us know if you have questions!
Well...since nobody reacted yet, this is VERY COOL Staffies, and obviously, many Players will take advantage of the 100% RCR to get some variety out of their Gameplay.

And not to forget to mention the tease here about new content and some cool things like being able to get those advanced Skins on a Toon, new or old, is a very cool gift to get.

Christmas arrives early this year! Huzzah!
