Lockhart Academy Role Play Thread.

Rumors spread of a mage duel between a red headed sorcerer and the Head Mistress of the Academy in the North farmlands. Apparently the sorcerer had claimed little need for the academic study of magic. to prove the alternative the Head Mistress challenged him to a mage duel. The duel lasted only a minute and it is said outside of the three initial wards, the Head Mistress won without a single hostile spell. As the duel ended the academy got it's official first student, the Head Mistresses new apprentice.

Rumors spread of a meeting between the head of the Academy and the Head of Mystra's temple within Baldur's Gate.

A few day's past the Archmage attended court to make her pledge to the Dukes and City. When first she entered few knew her, but after hearing her speak few in attendance did not cheer. It is said she made some thinly veiled comments about combating the Zhent and Thayan presence in the city.

While few remember the entirety of the speech given, the general gist was about the continued advancement of the city and a future entwined with magic. A small blip in the everyday life of Baldur's Gate but a big step for the Academy and it's long term goals.

With this concluded both the Archmage and the future Battle Casters of Baldur's Gate have pledged loyalty to the city and it's Rulers.
