Stuck in Jail

New to Server wandered into a area south of Farmland starter area. Didnt have time to put weapons away when ended up in jail Currently at half hour stuck here. Cant get thru bars to talk to guard. What do I do to get out.

When you try to talk to the guard he'll come over and let you bribe him with 300 gold to get out iirc. If it's your first time going to jail in one reset you can also just leave for free after around 2 minutes, but subsequent jailings seem to last indefinitely (though I don't know if this is a bug or WAI).

I tried to talk to guard couldnt target thru bars. I had to log out ill try again in bit. Was having fun till this happen.

You can increase the number of quick bars in options, but those will only work after you have restarted the game. The quick bars will appear but do not work properly until the game has had a chance to load them properly.

With the incresed number of quick bars, you can fit a multitude of weapons on them. Thus, you just need to get into the habbit of clicking a quick bar button to 'equip' and 'unequip' when appropriate.

Anyhow, when your character has a weapon up, your character is basically emoting some degree of hostility. Therefore in peaceful cities and towns, it is best to keep the weapon out of the weapon slot. While somewhere in wilderness, no one really cares.

It is a long standing server quirk, which is automatically enforced with in game scripts.

Pretty sure you just click on the locked portcullis. Timer appears and when it runs out you click thr portcullis and it opens for you. At least that's how I remember it working the last time one of my chars was in prison (2009!)

Tried this nothing happen. I had to log anyway so when got back server had reset. I'm being careful now not to let happen again.
But thanks for info ill try that next time if happens.
