In which case one can readily replace sh** with shite, as FFXIV has been doing that for the past several years and has maintained a T-rating. As a bonus benefit, 'Online interaction' is not rated by the ESRB.

Fun fact, the Drow Word Vith translates late to the F word. The more you know.

If you feel like swearing, why not use these: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=14619

I've heard folk use Feck instead of (do-me). Sort of a ye old fatasy twist on the F-bomb Im guessing.

Personally as my Player opinion, as long as it is not over used, used strictly IC, and fits lore setting. I say have at it.

Re: Profanity and swearing in RP
Here's 2 IC examples that are commonly used, along with translations in parenthesis...
"You fething idiot." - You f--king idiot.
"Pike off." or "She seems fairly piked off."- ..... F - off, and pissed off, respectively.
Piss and shite are probably in that 'bordering on offensive but not really' line, but I always found F-bombs and other modern day vernacular tend to be a bit jarring.
Anyhoo... that's my monthly contribution. Have a good one, you fething dullards, and try not to pike off the mods!
Late edit - "Oh, fark..." can also be used for the F-word(more common for dwarfs or humans to use than feth, which is more elven). And, I'm farking outta here.

There are no level 30's, only level 20's with benefits...

My personal opinion is that the F-bomb has no place in a setting where examples like the above still cover the load. In the real world, it almost feels like you can't get your point across if you're not offensive, which is a shame, but which is also something I wouldn't enjoy in a game world. If someone manages to offend me without saying something really offensive (as Snarf demonstrates quite well in the above), then I'd actually enjoy that. It would greatly add to the immersion for me.
In general, I think that in a setting like this, one should "Swear like a gentleman".

You swear like a common man. One whose tongue has never wielded the blade of insults. Were I to grace you with a mere fleeting of effort... Then your blood would curl to a soup. Your bones would crumble to ash. You skin would run as pale as the fur of a showsnoe hare. You are nothing but a child playing with fire, so run along now, before my verbal ire grants you stained cheeks and trousers.Invoker wrote:"Blood and ashes!!
