Looking at the update log, I see the following new spells mentioned:

Corrosive grasp, Horzikaul's cough, Launch bolt, launch stone, Nyborn's reproof.
----
Tiramaels_Energy_Spheres, icelance, thunderlance, snilloc's snowball swarm scripts.

All of those new spells are available for selection as normal, so I assume the "empty" spells are just extra bugged entries. I have not selected them for testing, but maybe I will roll up a new test toon just to see.

Should be

level 0 : snilloc's snowball
level 4 : elemental shield : cold
level 8 : Flensing (nasty)
level 9 : sphere of ultimate destruction
