For all the mechanics gurus out there:
If I already have Uncanny Dodge, does Blindfight become redundant in defense against melee attacks from sneak/invisble?
Tried to correlate the info from wiki and posts, and this is how I understand it so far:
- Uncanny Dodge allows to keep Dex, Tumble, and Dodge AC (conflicting text here suggesting only Dex AC is kept per feat description)
- Blindfight prevents the +2 AB AND flat-foot bonuses (Dex, Tumble and Dodge AC) from a sneak/invis attacker (does this actually work as stated?)
Assuming this is correct, someone with Uncanny Dodge would still benefit from Blindfight because of the +2 AB bonus negation, but it basically makes Uncanny Dodge redundant, assuming Blindfight already covers all the benefits of Uncanny Dodge?
Any definitive/tested explanation?
P.S. Related question: Does the spell Blindsight basically give the same effects as the Blindfight feat?
Thanks for any insights!

Uncanny dodge - retain dex to ac even when flat footed.
Blind fight - when attacking an enemy which has concealment, if you roll a miss you get a reroll to see if you hit. This will negate the bonus from invisible creatures, but not from stealth so uncanny dodge still has value.

Yup when you attack someone with concealment you roll a 1d100 first and if you roll below the concealment % (eg 20% = DC 20) then the attack misses.
Blindfighting means you get a free reroll of the d100 to see if you hit them if the first roll resulted in a failure. This applies to Melee and Ranged Touch Attacks for spellcasters, too. For this reason it's still quite useful to have if you can fit it into any build, melee, ranged or spellcaster.

Can't remember whose signature has it, but the quote from Vale I think : "Consider taking Steadfast"
I think this should include "And Blind fight".
Have it on just about all my toons, notice it helps alot. Quality of life feat. You can still do alright on the server without it. But it allows you to mechanically take down enemies easier/tougher with concealment.
And as for your last question. Blindsight spell gives you dark (low light?) vision and see invis for duration. Does not help against concealment.

Blind fight is worth the feat to take. Uncanny dodge is a good feat too. some can live without it.

That used to be in my signature. It was a joke because Valefort hates Steadfast Determination, but suggested it once in the character build sub forum.electric mayhem wrote:Can't remember whose signature has it, but the quote from Vale I think : "Consider taking Steadfast"
