Re: New Deities
Whoo! Big thanks on part of my Mulhorandi character. No longer does he need to walk around with No Deity on his sheet.

Disguise Login: New Nexus
As a player that has characters that utilise disguise extensively, I cannot begin to express my frustration with having to remove it and expose my 'true identity' to another dozen+ Nexus lingers in order to enter the game world.
Now I understand why the check is there, to prevent death avoidance. So my proposal is not to remove it. My proposal is that instead of being told "You're in disguise, please remove it" that I was given the option, "You're in disguise, would you like to transfer to a discreet login zone to remove it?"
This way I can have a place to remove my disguise where I'm alone, do the necessary login checks, and then proceed to my choice of respawn location and reapply my disguise. It might need an additional check and/or multiple 'rooms' to make sure there is never one person there at a time. People who don't care about such things can simply do as the current nexus requires and enter the game world. I don't happen to be one of them.
Thanks for consideration.

Re: Disguise Login: New Nexus
What is proposed won't work as you'd hope if you're trying to avoid ooc knowledge on it. There's several relatively easy ways to skin that.
As for the death system, that check can be modified

I'll take that as a "no".

Re: New Deities
Technically, I dont think any of these gods were giving spells outside of their realm (Mulhorand) before the Time of Troubles. Only after the ToT were they interested in expanding their influence (as it was the variable that led to more power).
I realize that the lore doesn't really matter if a DM requests it, but putting it out there as we are already bending the lore here. Bahamut has been RP'd as a deity since off and on since at least 2009.

Re: New Deities
Canon lore does not need to be the guiding principle of our custom server setting (and, in fact, I should like to see greater derivations from it). It is 100% the purview of the DM team to decide such matters, fortunately.

Re: New Deities
Yep, that's what I said.
And since Bahamut has already been ok'd as a deity (even allowed to use other gods as a substitute at one point - Tyr, perhaps? Someone else may know), and we are already deviating from 'cannon', it makes sense to have that in mind when making decisions such as these.
