DM Ioulaum wrote:Bahamut, the Lord of the North Wind and God of all Dragons is currently (1351 DR) a Celestial Paragon.

As a Celestial Paragon Bahamut has worshipers and is able to grant them spells. A celestial paragon is a divine rank one step below a lesser deity and is the same as a Demi-Deity. It is the Celestial equivalent of an Archfiend.

Up until around 1347 DR Bahamut was an entity practically unheard of on the Sword Coast and the rest of Faerun. However, because of Tiamat's re-appearance in 1346 DR the Platinum Dragon has been slowly rebuilding his presence. Including the recruitment of new humanoid faithful, among them humans. One of Bahamut's first acts was to commence an investigation of the site of Tiamat's re-appearance: Baldur's Gate. A very small number of his faithful have visited the City in the years since that time but they have not announced themselves or established any [public] shrines or temples.

Bahamut's re-emergence is not unknown to Tiamat and the fact that his agents visited Baldur's Gate was expected. However, this has not led to any known conflicts. Neither Tiamat's and Bahamut's faithful have been notable sources of trouble since 1346 DR. Tiamat's return caused quite a stir around the Sword Coast, particularly in Cormyr.

It is rumored that King Azoun IV of Cormyr is considering granting a charter of faith to Bahamut's clergy, promising them safety and the right to establish a temple in Suzail. Among those knowledgeable on Cormyr this is a popular rumor as portions of Draconic lore are part of the Purple Dragon Kingdom's history and Bahamut was therefore never entirely forgotten.

Azoun the IVth's Court has indicated that a decision is yet to be made on the charter because a group of nobles has submitted a number of objections. It not publicly known what the objections are, or who the nobles are, but the common assumption is that it has to do with either Suzail's Temple politics or with Nobles afraid to see their real-estate value decline. It is expected that the Royal Court shall reach its decision some time in 1352 DR.

I have to say that it seems odd to not add Bahamut assuming the above is true. They would be rare sure but so are many of the classes and even some of the gods currently in game or on that list.

I've updated the wiki to include the new deities:

I will probably go ahead and archive this thread, though, as it is no longer "coming soon." I'll move it to Closed Suggestions.

This was toggled back on, so I'm going to move this one to "closed suggestions."

Has anyone figured this out yet? If so I think epic gate should have its own temporary one too.

It's the summon spot.
