Re: Rumors & Events of the Sword Coast, North...of Baldur's
People may notice a tiefling entering the doorway to the Winding Way Tavern in Soubar. From inside folks may hear her speaking to Mag..
"I saw the saddest thing while on a walk along the northern road. It was a roving group of Orcish beggers. Asking for food for their children."
Teeka shifts on the bar stool, and leans in closer to Mag, "Some of them were pretty boney. Poor things probably haven't had a bite to eat for ages! I gave them some junk I had collected. Worth nothing really... They were grateful. They talked of how much they respected me for helping them. It was sweet, really...."
The young tiefling orders a drink and speaks with a few people inside before heading out of the tavern.

A group of unseasoned adventurers can be seen setting out north from the gate, led by a haggard looking bearded human. Overheard is talk of rescue, trolls, and miners. The disparate party returns some days later, apparently successful. They go their separate ways but some can be found making inquiries of the invasion of Kheldriver, specifically mentioning the general and history of the Netherese.

Two orcs and a quarter were claiming they were the current owners of the fort at the Boareskyr Bridge. However, when confronted by three elves, they were quick to flee the area abandoning what they claimed was theirs.

The Dwarven groups fly the banner of Kraak Helzak, and at times, either plant flags to mark their presence, carve runestone into stone face as road marker, or even adjust stones to provide small shelters that blend into the surroundings, which would provide excellent scouting and defense positions.
Also noticed are the pyres left in the wake of these Dwarven roaming parties, smoldering heaps with remnants of many a troll hide left to singe and smoke.

After Merissa's encounter with the Devils in the Misty Forest, she hadn't been able to properly enter reverie. Troubled by the memories of that encounter, the young elf fights against the fear and returns north. There has to be something she can do to help. She spends her time moving from camp to camp, asking those she meets if they are familiar with En Dharasha and if they know any of the People of that settlement.
"Father always said that fear will stop you from doing great things. I will not let that be my fate."

Tis rumored that the rhythm of the drum, like the rhythm of a working forge, hammer on anvil, imbues the reconstruction effort with mystic, magical powers. Or so would the dwarves themselves say, culturally believing that being forged themselves from stone and iron by All-father Moradin, their own will and ways is one with the stone that they work with their hands and hearts.

Re: Rumors & Events of the Sword Coast, North...of Baldur's
Dwarves of Kraak Helzak descent upon Soubar this day, bearing proudly the symbol of the Fortress of the Holy Anvil emblazoned upon cloak and shield.
They have arrived with minor and major magical goods, and finding a lackluster day market, their actions result in presenting many wares to the merchant of consignment. Some may witness a begrudging interaction between one or more of the Dwarves and the Half-breed Nog, that oversees the transactions for Mudd in Soubar—it would seem obvious an issue of race, played into the difficulties.
Nonetheless, as advertised just inside the portal into Soubar, the Winding Way provides refreshment and nourishment for the hard road traveler, and the Dwarves from out the Troll Claw Hills, are last seen entering the establishment, their wood and metal steins clinking against armor, proudly and in anticipation of what is to come, while still tied to the belts—the Winding Way has traditionally been kind to those Stouts of Kraak Helzak, when they have needed shelter...and drink.

Thud!
Another rock falls into place on the makeshift wall. The wild sounds of the lush forest penetrate the loose stone wall. Sounds drowning the noise of the heavy orc trudging through the muddy turf.
Silently and undistracted, the powerful grey orc moves large stones from a rock-slide to the barrier.
His food is his progress and his rest is the short unburdened walks from the wall to the cave. Alone he works.

Dark energy could be felt all around the Inn in soubar, Seemingly seeping up from the temple below. Breaking the bonds that held the curse dormant. She is now free.... Banes will be done.

Re: Rumors & Events of the Sword Coast, North...of Baldur's
A motley group of orcs enters Mag's, seemingly in high spirits. Their ringleader seems to be a tiny, goblin looking beast wearing a dented bronze crown.
Ordering several rounds of pints to a central table, the group produces an assortment of somewhat decomposed skulls, likely elfin or human in origin.
They end up splashing most of their ale on the ground trying to pour the pints into the skulls but nonetheless raise a raucous toast to the corpses of adventurers they left out near the Bridge.
It doesnt take long for the groups antics to get even louder, with the crowned goblin climbing up on his chair to scream rhyming verses about bloodshed and the dominance of greenskins.
Eventually Mag's staff grows weary of the act and demand the crews departure. To the surprise of the rest of the tenants the group follows the direction and depart, with the goblin still hurling racial epithets in rhyme on his way out of the tavern.

A recent word from the North brings news about a mysterious excavation site appearing at the Forest of Wyrms. The site changes everyday, making it evident that some enigmatic group is developing it, but the purpose of these mysterious groundworks, as well as the force behind them, remain currently unknown.

Rumors spread of a man with a large mustache sitting at the fire, preaching teachings of Tymora. Encouraging those who would listen to throw caution to the wind and leave it up to fate to decide. Preaching that Tymora favors the bold and the brave and to let go of all preconceived plans is to feel her embrace.
He spends most of the night talking to local adventurers around the fire and inside the Winding Way Inn.

Loud laughter and a lot of drinking happened between new and old friends within the walls of the Winding Way Tavern. Merchants and Mercenaries, Nobles and Ne'er-do-well's... All had drink in hand and laughter in the air as Mag made copious amounts of coin.
New friends parted ways, as one by one they drank their fill.

Those that follow the ebb and flow of commerce in Soubar may have noted a recent newcomer.
Jackard Marks, quick to introduce himself to one and all, has been handling business in the village of late. He may have been spotted drinking in the Winding Way, in talks with agents of the Ebon Blade, or buying and selling goods to the local adventurer population. It is said that while he has traded in arms and magical baubles, he has a much larger supply of foodstuffs, and is shopping it to some of the larger factions in the area hoping to supply the victors in any coming conflict with the Devils of Dragonspear.
He is easily found in the markets, or the pub.
