I play a Malarite Cleric 21 / Thaumaturge 5 / Blackguard 4 (though he's only lvl 24 yet). I'm trying to RCR him into something with more nature-based classes. I've tried Cleric 12 / Thaumaturge 5 / Ranger 13, but it seems aweful. There's no synergy between the classes. Do you build-gurus have an idea of a build with the following requirements:
Divine character (probably cleric, but if you have a good alternative, I'm all ears)
Evil
Human
Nature-theme
Preferably with Thaumaturge, because I like the idea of a Malarite with a posse to hunt with
Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something - Plato
Druid 30? NE Shadow Druid style Malarite with Dragon Form and Dragon Companion? Seem pretty Malarite-ish.
Could go Cleric 13/Hierophant 6/R11. With Practiced Spellcaster and Spellpower 3 from Hierophant your CL will be 26 which isn't too bad. On the plus side you can either have free Greater Two Weapon Fighting or Manyshot and Improved Rapidshot which fits the hunter theme. You'll either want WIS at ~15 or 16 and use a +3/4 item to get to 19/20 for spellcasting.... You'll also have Ranger spells, which are dispellable, but will give you +4 natural AC, +4 DEX and a couple other situational benefits (embrace the wild for free blindfight when needed, for example). You'll also have evasion, swift tracker and access to all the skills you want (survival, tumble, lore:nature, etc.)
If you don't like the idea of CL being that low, you could drop Ranger to 9, but you'll need to take Improved Rapid Shot or GTWF if you want them. This will give you Hierophant 8 so you can take one more ability from that class. With PSC and Spellpower 3 you'll be at CL28 which should cause you no concern with dispels.
For domains, you can take animal, but realize that it doesn't stack with ranger, so you'll have two really weak pets. I would DEFINITELY take STR for the level 4 slots of extended divine power, but the other domains won't be all that great regardless of the selection.
Cleric30 with animal domain and get a huge wolf or bear or something.
Doesn't have to be all fancy to get some nice nature themed cleric.
Ranger30 (or ranger21 or above and up to 9 levels of something else. Assassin, for instance. Frenzied berserker?)
But if you want to go fancy, maybe something really strange like cleric13/fighter4/fist of the forest3/sacred fist10. You don't actually have to be a monk to be a sacred fist, after all. And how will you ever be a cooler malarite than by being one that can rip at your enemies efficiently with your bare hands! The CL there is a bit low, though.

Divine servants of Malar are not allowed to engage in ranged combat as per lore. It must be up-close and personal. Something about being able to smell and taste the blood of your enemies or whatever.

In the end, I think I like this one the best, with the addition of the Thaumaturge. With a Cleric 25 / Thaumaturge 5, I'd get a lvl 25 animal companion. Would it be worth it to take Natural Bond and Epic Animal Companion to get it to lvl 31?
I believe, each animal bracket translates into 2 Animal HD. If I recall correctly into epics it goes into brackets of 21-23, 24-26, 27-29, 30-32 and goes on. So it should be possible to squeeze one more bracket with 33 effective class levels as Epic Animal Companion goes beyond 30.
As for reference nwn2 wiki states a bracket giving; +2 HD, +2 natural AC, +1 Str and +1 Dex.
I hope this helps, although I am no expert at it so there might be some mistakes in my understanding.

Could think of Bear Warrior? Rabid barbarian bear rager? But yeh, something like that won't leave much for divine casting.
