It's happened numerous times that I've walked past someone while invisible, and they had Purge Invisible on them. Now, of course the circumstances vary greatly and some people simply have more need to have Purge Invisibility on them due to some manner of threat on their character's lives, but it does count as dispelling something from another character (requiring being set to hostile beforehand).
How is such handled in the PvP rules during non-hostile roleplay? Say, for example, you follow someone invisibly and a complete bystander happens to be wearing Purge Invisibly like cologne every day, pops you out of invisibility and makes you known to the person you were following (and might potentially have hostilities with).

I think that this is a great question, and I have an opinion but I'd like to see if anyone else wants to chime in first.

Re: Purge Invisibility question
Not much different from a spotter seeing someone stalking them that was hiding, the act of the person performing the stalking is already considered hostile.

Re: Purge Invisibility question
i think this question was answered and finalized many months ago.
breakdown
1. The one invis/HIPS/ethereal in town are the one who is hiding something from someone, not a good sign.
2. The one casting invis purge/true seeing/blindsight/having spot is being cautious. like merchant with paid bodyguards/guards/watchmen/patrol.

Re: Purge Invisibility question
I think if you’re following someone invisibly and someone ‘accidentally’ pops you out of invisible, then that’s just a possible result of stalking someone. PvP could be the consequence. I’d also add that if you’re stalking someone, they have every right to pvp you if they detect you, maybe go as far to say that stalking someone is auto consent to pvp.
