It's collected on BIC files, and like I mentioned I filtered out everything that had less than 10 000 exp (unless there are tons of weirdos who like their mules to have loads of experience points it should be a good enough filter).

Then you might consider filtering it > 15,000xp (Level 6) because 6 is what you need to spawn at FAI, which is useful for a Mule or Mule Character (like how so many Players make a merchant only toon that never really does anything but RP to sell all the wares they lootz-grindz on their other toons!).

This statement is just simply not true. Plenty of folks RP their gods and beliefs. They must not RP it with your characters, as they are normally the type to either talk smack about anything and everything, or will try to use it against them in the future.

That's not about roleplaying your god's dogma, that's about roleplaying your character as a part of the named paradigma where the gods serve as guides to the afterlife and atheists rot in the wall. Only few characters roleplay the said paradigm or ever mention it, that was my point.

It is also likely that people are just picking no deity because it does not have any impact in mechanics, not to mention the fact that this is supposed to be a polytheistic world. Polytheism DOES NOT MEAN that everyone runs around espousing their particular favorite God or Goddess with the exclusion of all else- unless you’re a Banite, as Bane is pretty much the only Deity in FR Lore that says “Me and none other”. By making us pick a deity at character creation is honestly an incorrect and unnecessary representation of a polytheistic society- unless you happen to be dependent upon divine magics or patronage for your class.

As for why it’s not RPd that much, I would think this is actually a more realistic representation of what a polytheistic society is like. You do your day to day stuff, you get on with life, and when you need help with, say, charming Sally down the street out of her knickers, you go to the temple of Sune, make an offering and leave a prayer. Want to keep you and your family healthy through the winter? You’d make an offering to Talona- not because you’re evil, but you’re entreating Her to stay away. Are you therefore unfaithful? Absolutely not- The Gods and the afterlife figure heavily in your life, but you’re focused on day to day living. Kind of like a lot of Catholics I know.

Anyone who doesn't have a patron deity is judged as a "False". Paying tribute to many gods does not mean you are excused from having a divine patron and upholding their ideals and dogma to a sufficient degree not to be judged a "False".
