Creating a Faction
I'm curious, how does a player go about creating a faction? I'm interested in creating an 'official' temple of Lathander faction, for all followers of Lathander, regardless of faction. Such a faction seems to have existed previously, but a DM in game told me it no longer did.

Re: Creating a Faction
When I asked about it a while ago, the term was to get 6 players to be active members and be active for 2 months, then they'll be considered official and get their own private forum.

Alright, thanks. I don't want to drag this out or anything, or venture too far off topic, but on the same subject, how would we handle 'titles'? I don't want to infringe on the rules on the use of titles, but I would also like for this possible group to have the actual priestly ranks from the temple of Lathander.

Re: Creating a Faction
To create a Guild/Faction you need the requirements as Luna quoted.
As for your guild it should be lore based, and your titles and ranks should be a reflection of that lore. It must be RP and your players should reflect the quality of RP that the guild will bring.
I will offer that creating a faction not based around lore, you will find it much harder to get members interested and keep it going. You have lots of driving factors and very few become successful without some good lore, or as the Weavemasters for example.
We will not accept any wild out of this world ideas, the guild must reflect our setting and timeline. Your members must be active in game not just in the forums. Make yourself known to the DM's for RP, ultimately the Staff and players will basically decide if it will become official.
As for Lathander you would be working to take over an existing group that is basically dead. You will need activity, and some time in game.
Good Luck, and look forward to seeing what RP you can bring to the table.

And make a flashy guild thread page of it with nice illustrations and such.
