Also my time.

Unread post by Tsidkenu »

Yes, it's just another farewell post. Ive already uninstalled the game and will not be returning to it in the foreseeable future.

It's been an interesting five years, to say the least, five years in which I have been fighting myself to remain in this time sink. No longer. I am returning my heart to the Shepherd and Overseer of my soul, the One with whom this game competed most ferociously. No longer.

To those I got to know well, and those with whom I have unfinished storytelling, I'm sorry it just ends with no closure. I will still be using Discord so if you want to say hi or know what I'm doing just give me a poke.

And I encourage everyone not to waste too much time here at the expense of real life. Games are a fleeting joy that will not endure. The friendships forged behind the scenes, however, can last long beyond NWN2's use-by-date, whenever that happens to be. Treasure them. Life is just too short for hatred, anger, bitterness, strife, selfishness and ill-thoughts towards others. And for those who think I bear ill-thought towards them, I do not and have not for some time now.

Shalom aleikhem baShem Bore et hashamayim veet haarets.

This makes me very sad.

Life and work always come first yes, videogames are fun but it's just that, fun, one needs to take time for living and doing other stuff, playing a game is having fun and if the game is not fun or it is taking too much time yeah always pick what is more healthy for you in the long run.

I really appreciated and loved the RP we had together so much, I really have not played all of my chars very much at all (mainly because i am waiting for drunken master to be released so i dont want to lvl up my monk) and been trying to focus on just one or two.

If you come back you know you will always be welcome and I will miss you, only had good times and good memories, I really thank you because you showed me a lot and I learned a lot of things thanks to you, you are a kind person and know a great deal.

IF you ever decide to come back we wait here with open arms.

Aw, this makes me quite sad. I wish things were different.
Thank you for the dedication you've put behind this server for so long. (Leading the Sharrans for ages, generating rp through the assassination of Anthem, your forum work, your Mystran and so on, couldn't list them all even if I tried  )
Your RP has always been superb and I had a lot of fun these last six months or so thanks to you, Darradarljod and a few others who are still around.
I wish you the best of luck, feel free to poke me anytime!

I've seen you around for years but I think our active hours never lined up all that well. Best of luck in future endeavors and your RP will be missed.

Passion drives !

Tsidkenu you'll be missed because of that, you had it and it showed. Thank you for the path together and I won't despair of not seeing you again as I was more or less in your situation 4 years ago now before coming back much later (but in a less time consuming fashion).

All the good wishes to you !

You brought enormous amounts of energy and truly unique stories to the server, Tsidkenu. Your storytelling impacted and moved many players here, even players not directly involved with any of your characters.

I know for a fact that you will be missed.

That being said, this game can be a huge time sink, and, for some, even an addiction. Sometimes pulling yourself away from such habits is a good thing, especially if it's negatively affecting your emotional, spiritual, physical, or mental health, or the happiness of those around you who depend on your attention and companionship. It's always going to serve you best, in the end, to focus on real life when your "real life" and your "virtual life" are in conflict.

As the others have said, I do hope you'll return some day, possibly in a more "cameo"-like capacity if you think diving back in head-first would be a bad idea; but even if you do not, then maybe you'll at least occasionally peek in here on the forums when nostalgia strikes and you feel like seeing if "that old place is still around anymore." :D

Here's wishing you all the best. I hope you will continue to exercise your boundless creativity in meaningful and fulfilling ways, wherever you next take it!

Others have said very good words already which I can only echo and you yourself also mentioned the importance on focusing on the right things. So I'll be saying, thank you for playing and for all the RP we've had. The highlight for me will always be the RP between Telia and Aeili. That was amazing RP which really marked my character and made a change.

... the 'dates' with Schezalle of course, also remain memorable in their own way

Take care and best of luck with what you'll be pursuing :romance-heartsmiley:

Numbers 6:24-26

Farewell my friend. Whether playing above or the underdark, you really ran circles about me and I love you for it. You were a real friend to me in the largest part of my time here. I'll not forget the stories we shared and the lessons in them. See you on the narrow way.
