Warlocks Devour magic

Warlocks Devour magic does not dispel AOE anymore after update.....still will dispel a single target...I use this everyday...

It does a usual caster level + d20 versus 11+caster level check now (ie the normal dispel check), maybe a bad roll ?

could you check again looks like im getting caster lvl 15+1d2 vs 1+15
not(28+1d20) vs 11+28
Ive been trying to dispel myself all night I use to dispell myself all the time something has changed could you please check.. I know its says max caster lvl of 15 but im not getting the 1d20 or the 11..

At CL 28 the check is 1d20 +20 versus 11 + 28 <=> 1d20 vs 19 because devour magic is capped at CL 20 (like greater dispel).

So this is not a surprise if it didn't work, your CL is too high to be dispelled by devour magic in general, you have only 10% chance of dispelling a CL 28 spell.

Ok I guess i'll have to go with it but I never had this problem in all the years until now..

In vanilla nwn2 all AoE were dispelled by any dispel, no matter the respective caster levels. Until last update we had an intermediate solution that wasn't correct either.

No it won't. But you can buy potions of lesser restoration in many places that will.

Or UMD a wand of death ward to prevent the ability damage in the first place.

Devour magic should add temporary hp for warlock when dispell something - currently it doesnt.

It has been working fine for me. I have found it very difficult to dispel anything lately though and usually it requires three of four casts and you have to open your character sheet to see the extra hit points since bonus hit points won't show up on your portrait.
