Need help with gondsman

What exactly can a gondsman equip? Armor, rings and such or just weapons/shields?

Any advice for how to build it as a wizard with 8 levels invested in gondsman?

The wiki only states this:

It can use any equipment appropriate for it's size.

So unless it is Everything a PC could equip, the wiki could also use some clarification.

Hi, From searching around the forums it seems like you can only equip it with a weapon.

Also, I read some things about if you don't retrieve your weapon it becomes tagged as being worth 0g and possibly some other issues:
