Store Database Site

Unread post by Gicker »

Hi all,

I've put together a web site that serves as a database of all items sold by shops in the game. This only includes default items, and not items sold to shops by players.

The tool allows browsing off individual shop inventories, viewing a master list of all items sold, broken down by item type and specific item type. For example Armor would be an item type and Banded Mail would be a specific item type. Finally there is a search function that allows you to search the database by numerous fields, such as type and specific type, name, modifier type, modifier bonus, material and so forth.

As of this writing I've added items from 6 shops and am well into the epic item shop in Baldur's Gate East Gate District as well. If anyone would like to help in populating the db with shops and their items, please let me know.

You can find the shop db tool at http://bgtscc.gicker.ca/

I'm also open to any suggestions and constructive criticism.

Thanks,

Gicker

Just wondering if the list prices are the base item value before any positive or negative appraise check results?

I don't have access to those base prices pre-appraise, that's why I labeled those fields approximate price.

Glad you find it useful. As a semi-new player who doesn't know the server well, I really wanted something like this, and I also wanted to contribute to the server. I hope that it becomes of use to a lot of other players, because figuring out your gear is really almost as important as your leveling choices.

Yea I agree, especially with no level restrictions on the server your gear could be more important than your build depending on your level! Good stuff.

Very cool, Gicker! We actually just had someone asking if we had something like this, and I had to tell them no. :D I should have just waited 24 hours.

Thanks Maecius, that's quite ironic :)

Once I get the majority of the shops I know about entered in, I'll post a link to the tool on the wiki. As of now The database contains 484 items.
