As it is now, "casting" Divine Might takes nearly a full round (6 sec.). But, if you look to PnP, it is actually classified as a Free Action, which should be instantaneous.
Free actions don’t take any time at all, though there may be limits to the number of free actions you can perform in a turn. Free actions rarely incur attacks of opportunity.
EDIT: I guess this principle should also apply to Divine Shield (since we're on the subject).
Between Faiths & Pantheons and Complete Warrior, CW published later on and specifically for 3.5 while F&P is for 3.0. Although nwn2 is based on 3.5, it's Divine Might uses the 3.0 version, which lacks the free action part. I would be really surprised if any sort of straight buff goes through for Divine Might feat line, to be honest. And reducing it one round for free action activation would be too disrupting for many builds rely on EDM for their damage source.

Why would we need a more powerful EDM toons ?
I honestly don't see this more powerful, but more of "how it should really be." Based on PnP, the Action status of Divine Might is a thing. I'm asking for it to be compliant with how it should be...depending on what should be, actually is. That seems up for interpretation!
I don't think there's much room for interpretation here if PnP is taken as reference. There are two ways how it works in PnP, one for 3.0, one for 3.5. Nwn2 version of Divine Might works clearly as the 3.0 version. What you are suggesting is a straight up merging 3.5 and 3.0 versions, which is a straight-up buff to the Divine Might feat line and has no precedence in PnP.

Maecius wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 5:04 pm Just kidding. I don't think there will be any changes w/r/t Divine Might. But I can flag it for the QC and Dev Teams.
Those are great news...

Because currently, EDM is not the most powerful way to go. High STR, CE/ICE & Northlander Hewing for example results into more powerful characters, To go for EDM means that you spread your stats too thin lose Evasion or at least not optimize DEC AC for light armor
Actually, it looks like a decision was made about a week ago that there will be a few changes coming! One of them does look like it might answer your free action question, Steve. Wait for more news!
I'm apparently about a week behind still playing catch-up after my move.
Let me guess, EDM will now be a free action that lasts 1 round/level and turn undead will be added to Bards.
Roland; svirfneblin fist of the forest and eco terrorist.
Heinrich Von Rittermark; Everwatch Knights of Helm
Frederick Von Rittermark; Paladin of Azuth/Mystra
Erik Von Rittermark; Unknown
I think some of the details are still being shaped out, but it will probably be a buff-and-nerf situation once those details are worked out. It looks like we've been discussing it since earlier this month though, QC and dev side, so this thread is actually just kind of a coincidence: So you can't really blame or credit Steve for whatever changes come.

We will pray for a merciful ruling on this... Now I'm kinda worried lol
