Missing Scythes and Handaxes

It's a little time that I play, I only have two characters.
I have explored different areas.
I found several merchants, some of them selling very powerful items for hundreds of thousands of gold.
I found all types of epic weapons on sale, even in multiple versions, but I haven't found a Scythe or Handaxe yet that went beyond the classic +3 enhancement bonus.

Am I maybe doing something wrong?

Epic handaxes have recently been added to the inventory of the Gullykin merchant. Scythes are still few and far between - My lvl 25 build is still using an almost plain one...

Possibly a move to balance certain weapons like scythes, falchions, and scimitars.

He was removed and his gear split to BG market and Beregost.
