Robe of Eyes Change
first off. Why?
Secondly. Its not worth the price its listed at without the feat.
Robe of eyes +4 AC, +4 spot +4 listen.....
300,000 + Gold
Robe of blending
+4 ac
+3 hide
+3 move silent
+3 disguise
camouflage 1/day
50,000 gold.
Either give the robe of eyes a buff and make it worth the money you have it listed for or drop the price to around 50,000 gold. Personally i dont see the point in taking away the feat. Its been there for years now so whats the problem?

I think the feat didn't actually work. So right now it's just more honest; could easily be an imbetween step.

Looks like the Robe of Blending is underpriced.

As most epic robes are between 45~100k, it is way overpriced now.

Re: Robe of Eyes Change
Are we sure the feat did not function?
Also if the feat did not function the logic is to fix it not remove it.
When is the team available to refund the -full- sale price of the item for those who paid for the old version it.
Heading off the question of -the feat didn't work- so nothing changed argument. The price of the robe budgeted for that feat functioning so effectively it's still a loss.

Re: Robe of Eyes Change
Stat wise, either it's overpriced or the other robes are underpriced...
Seeing as the difference in prices is likely going to be large now, I'd rather there was a gold return (as there has been in the past when there's been errors with some store items).

Yeah, ditto. Without the feat (I can't confirm or deny if the feat worked on the item, I only know the feat does work and I bought the item for the feat), the item is basically worthless for me. A full gold refund would be good, considering that took a lot of grinding.

As I understand it, it never worked to begin with. That being said, if you currently own one of these items, you can ask the DMs for a refund. They'll take the item from you in exchange though.
You may want to send them a screenshot, too, of how much the robe costs for you in the shop. Otherwise they will likely have to go off what they see on their own avatar (and DMs run around on avatars with maxed out skills, which includes a maxed out Appraise).

Re: Robe of Eyes Change
Not everyone has a screenshot of the item when they bought it and valefort has already lowered the price 150,000 odd gold less than it was originally.... so if the DM has max appraise and we dont have a screenshot we are going to get less than half the value back of the item... that doesnt seem really fair considering its base price was 400,000 odd gold.

Re: Robe of Eyes Change
It was not really possible to refund automatically as the items were not taken away but only modified ... the price, appraise not taken into account was a bit above 400k.

Re: Robe of Eyes Change
Could set it to automatically refund the robe, then change the tag on the one in the store as well as lower the price to be more in line with other tier four robes. However that means everyone who wants to keep it will have to rebuy it at the new price.

Re: Robe of Eyes Change
How many people actually bought this robe?
It might be quicker just to have DMs refund it than put dev effort towards some sort of permanent "fix" that becomes part of the game code.

Re: Robe of Eyes Change
I have two between characters it's a pretty top tier spot item. That said the refund scripts already part of the server so it should be just a matter of adding the item tag, then changing the tag on the blue print / updating the store and hot fixing. If the price is going to be adjusted that would happen either way. Meaning it would be ten minutes give or take, compared to DM requests for replacement and future complaints due to missing the time frame.
