appearance changer and appearance kit bugs

hi,
after changing some appearances using the two tools two things happened:
1. three items vanished from my equipped items (bracers, cloak and helmet) - that issue was attended by a dm but just wanted to report on it and know if theres a safe way to change item appearances?
2. a quiver appearance just popped on my C (without putting it) and I cant manage to get it off, any idea how to remove it? (removing armor doesnt help, nor does changing cloak/armor appearances and relogging doesnt work too - it just stacks with whatever appearance I put. any way to remove it?

unfortunately I didnt notice which of the two tools caused which problem because I noticed it only afterwards.

1. known bug. Unequip all other items, if you use the 'old' app-changer (not the app-kit).
2 it's often related to a belt. Try unequipping your belt - then changing the armor.
