Yes its a pretty good class., I've been suggesting (on Discord) for a while that sort of Oily Warrior or Anointed Warrior or something like that be added for neutral players.

Re: Game Balance
Wod and anointed knight are fair classes with the watered version . They gain almost nothing a fighter gets . The element weapon should be put back to 1d6 its a 10 lvl ability. 1d4 is not that great considering well say a dragon lol gets flame weapon 1d6 at what lvl 2 or 4. The feats any fighter can take blind fight and the other one . But they make good tanks which was not at all what the class is designed for and fall short of the dwarven defender in the tank regard. Funny how no one even attempted to defend how crappy stormlord and trickster are . The more we water classes the less uses they have . This is already one of the most restrictive servers as far as building goes why end up with a bunch of stormlords that no one wants to run . When you take things away then add other stuff thats not necessarily a upgrade its kinda like running in a circle. Im not for most nerfs thats me though but if your going to nerf some top teir classes why not all of them if balance is the goal. To only pick on the cleric fs and bard is silly when the dragon is right on par with them see and then we end up with nerf fest and tons of folks are pissed. How many tines are those same folks not pissy when we add more and beef classes alot less im guessing . This is all just my opinion of course . I do like and appreciate all the hard work the staff does i just dont agree with more restrictions less abiltys and slash power for no apparent reason . Depowering the most important reason to be a fs or bard in most casses hurts even if a little when other top tier take no hit at all.

WoD and AK have tumble as a skill, unlock Tower Shield for non fighters and give better saves for the fighters.

ITT: People say nerfs are bad but then call for other classes to get nerfed in the same post.

Re: Game Balance
It clearly went over your head bud . I do not want nerfs but since were getting them(against my will)shouldnt the nerfs be balanced if thats what the nerf is for balance ? Only targeting a few of the top teir instead of them all is odd any way you spin it . Its saying to us all some of you are op but its ok to be op if your a certain class which is not what balance is at all

Re: Game Balance
I agree with the OP. Constant change to major player abilities is disconcerting. It also disrupts returning players who feel required to RCR because what they played last year is no longer viable this year. If player power is making encounters trivial, then add harder encounters to the game, don't make changes to players that it feels like a different meta entirely. The free RCR period doesn't help returning players, only currently active min/maxers finding the new tier 1 build within the new rule set -- that is, finding the new build you'd want to nerf and thus the cycle repeats. Yes, returning players outside the grace period could possibly submit a request for a free RCR, but it's not guaranteed and seems like an unnecessary speed bump.

Re: Game Balance
What I don't like is that a few build options don't look good anymore. YOLO 11 monk/darkfire/cleric dual-wielder (low CL), picking up frost mage on cleric (low bab), or techsmith of Gond (low bab).
I guess hospitaler is more attractive but it wasn't that bad of a pick to begin with. Warpriest is still meh. If you want to buff warpriest get rid of some of the requirements no one likes like combat casting feat.
Hopefully more changes will fill in where this nerf hurts?

Re: Game Balance
Can you provide concrete examples?Constant change to major player abilities is disconcerting.
With all due respect, constant change on BGTSCC would be a huge boon to the Player experience. Now, preferably, it would be change to Content, such as Areas, mobs, quests, etc., with change more towards additions than subtraction.
But where exactly are "player abilities" being hampered, here? You can still log on, still roll up a Character, still cause mass kobold genocide or fish till you brain starts numbing into a hardened form.
Furthermore, game balance and constant change are not synonymous. Game Balance has rarely been implemented, often with extreme circumstances dictating the move.
Lest we forget, BGTSCC is not a democracy. It IS a community, however. And if you disagree with a move or decision, you are usually allowed the platform to voice it, which is fair to allow. But what actually helps is to give feedback or alternatives in concrete terms, for consideration against follow through, or, change to the change.
Hyperbole doesn't do shit.

Nothing that was changed has left any builds not viable.

Re: Game Balance
Steve, I don't have a comprehensive list of changes. But for example, in recent months Death Ward (and the Death Ward like effect on Frenzy) was neutered. It appeared to have been slipped into an update and bypassed QC. If you want me to collect a laundry list of other such changes I can, but there are definitely balance changes being made more frequently than the cadence you suggest.

Re: Game Balance
Definitely, if in a quick timeframe after a drought of changes a number of "fixes" go in that irk the playerbase because a) we're not told why, exactly b) the playerbase just generally feel they're unwarranted, it can APPEAR to be too much.
I think slow steps are best, myself, in this environment/community, in order to give everyone time to digest.
But by the numbers, the changes do not hamper a fun/good/baseline experience with combat/mechanics for the Server.
If anything, the changes make it MORE CHALLENGING an experience, across the board. Is that not good?!!
Because mechanical challenges can be fun, and they can also sit parallel to fun role-play, both engaging but not disturbing each other.
Nonetheless, if anyone could show concretely how the Divine Power change, for example, now makes it impossible to do something MECHANICALLY that could be done before, I'd welcome that and greatly hope that the Devs, along with QC, would examine the change as it causes this impossibility, in order to again, certify that the change should stay.
For me, as long as I know that the Devs/QC are always willing to retract a change that goes wrong, I for one am willing to give their decision a try (thinking that Staff has best intentions).
Fair?

Re: Game Balance
Sure it can. Even with the lowest base you can have, halfling with 6 strength, you're at 13 AB before any weapons. AB enhancement cap is 20 and strength bonuses don't count towards that. You can reach 35 AB.
EDIT: Oh wait, you said BAB.
Oh well. That's true. And good.

This song rallies all allies within 60 feet. The game determines the highest base attack bonus of all allies in the area of effect, and all affected characters now use this as their new base attack. All affected characters get a +4 competence bonus to damage rolls, as well. This ability lasts for 10 rounds. There is a cool down of 5 minutes (game time) before this ability can be used again.
