A petition from UD players to DM team

To the DM team from all Underdark players

First and foremost, I wanted to thank the DM team for their wonderful and amazing hard work, we all appreciate it, but this is not the point I want to make on this letter.
As you might know, DM Vanquish left the DM team because personal reasons, yet the last few months on the Underdark (especcially May) he singlehandedly was DMing for a lot of UD guilds and throwing events for the Underdark as a whole.
His job left a mark, even if he was a DM for a short time, his influence was found tremendously, the ripples he causes went far and even brought some players from retirement back into the server, when we received notice that he had to leave, everyone got very sad as we love how he gave the Underdark players a lot of attention on his free time.
He gave us a small taste of what it means to have an UD DM that loves the lore on the setting as much as we do.

When he left, all the Underdark community came together, not as characters but as players, many of our IC goals are very different and many are enemies IC yet we lead a very cordial relationship OOC thanks to our discord servers and that we value communication and fun over everything else. This is a petition to the DM team to help us in the UD, many of DM Vanquish plots sadly were left unfinished but we think that this can be salvaged.

We know the DM team might be understaffed a little bit as Maecius once said in a post a long time ago, I dont know if this is the case, but what I want to say here is that we would appreciate to maybe have one or two DMs whose main duties are to DM for the UD, I know several DMs do events on the Upperdark where players from both sides can participate, but this is very rare many times.

I hope we are not asking for much, as the UD community grew a lot in the past few weeks, check the UD RP threads and you will see what I mean.

I have exclusively played a UD toon for ~9 months, during most of which I didn't see any DMs doing scheduled, "open admission" UD events, and despite that it has been awesome because of player engagement and dedication to the setting.

Now that the UD is more active again, it's even more fun, most particularly under the reign of Vanquish. I would be so happy to see this momentum continuing to be built upon as I think we have something special going on in Sshamath!
