I'll start a staff-side discussion on it without identifying maps then.

Re: Tree Stride & Travel By Plant In UD
May I obtain some help?
I am playing my first druid- hes a Svirf- so UD.
There seems to be two ways to use the Travel By Plant or Treestride spells:
1)Collect a leaf in a leaf holder. I went into the Darkwoods stood beside a plant or tree then cast Mark Plant onto a Empty Leaf Holder.
Every time I tried it, I get a "You can not find a plant to use" error in yellow.
Am I doing it right?
2) Cast Mark Plant on the area were a plant or tree is located.
I tried it on a couple spots- a plant and a tree. Did not work when I tried teleporting.
And I now have two invalid locations on my teleport location list.
How do you delete items for your teleport list?
Any help/tips regarding me being able to use the druid teleport spells in the UD would be great.

I'm pretty sure the Darkwoods is a forest of petrified trees. So essentially funny looking rocks, not trees.

There are some plants there with leaves, that I tried the spell on and nothing.

Well, it is supposed to be a petrified forest. Not a living one.

Guys...get a room! lol.
Look, Druid teleport in the UD has been AN ISSUE for years now. Essentially, Druid Characters are left to their own devices to determine which Areas are programmed to allow Druid Teleport, or not. Hence my earlier post and attempt to make a list of what maps work, and what maps don't.
But honestly, I got personally tired of trying to figure it out, considering the Areas that work and those that don't make little sense—it is essentially an issue of what Areas are selected as Wilderness or not (I'm guessing here...) or whatever other Check Box needs to be selected to allow Druid Teleport to work.

So this table...what is it?Steve wrote:viewtopic.php?f=20&t=36022&start=5
Is it a table of areas that work or a table of areas "locked" from being able to be used?
I am just starting my research into the matter and would like any tips. I have not even used the spell successfully yet. I would hate to have to go to the surface just to learn how to use it.....My Svirf is phobic of the surface.

Yes, that table is to list Areas in a column of either able to Teleport, or listed in the column of Blocked from Teleport.
Now, for one, Tree Stride and Travel by Plant require different...flora...in order to work. I can't remember if this is a literal-mechanical requirement difference, or just D&D.
But what I kinda remember is Rasael stating that a whole Area is marked as Teleportable, or not...because I don't think the Spells pick up on flora placeables, especially if they are the transparent kind BGTSCC uses in order to save memory.

Oh yeah this thread. I think I remember something being said a while back that the travel by plant stuff won't work in the UD unless you have the Cavestalker class which is completely dumb.
I'll try to confirm this during the weekend.

Any updates with this? I tested the Mark Plant spell near a bunch of mushrooms with no luck.
