Underdark for new plalyers

Just putting out my experience since I decided to abandon the server a few minutes after joining.

Made a fighter & was promptly utterly wrecked by the CR1 areas in Sshamath. I suggest a little more guidance for new players if there's another direction they "should" go to snag XP first. If not, I suggest easing those areas a lot. It doesn't appear the UD has enough pop to force groups that early on. The face punching feels pretty intentional, which is why I'm not trying to power through it. But in case it isn't, figured the server admins should know that it isn't a pleasant experience.

Hello! I think I saw you online earlier and said hello via tells. However, by the time I caught up to you in Sshamath, you already logged-off. I do hope you reconsider the server and give it another shot. Should you do so, the rest of the population in the Underdark are very much helpful and would love to show you around with their characters. If anything, I look forward to roleplaying with your character if you do try again.

I can assure you UD is much simplier to level and navigate at than the surface (no matter how paradoxal it sounds, lol). It's your choice to abandon the server or not, but I still could give some advices about lowbie leveling, which being:
— Buy Backpack of the hearty from one of duergar merchants just at the Gloura's entrance, it gives +5 hp which is huge at lvl 1
— Get some mage armor potions at Fountain of endless elixirs shop (Sshamath Central)
— Take a caravan to Undrek Valanar, local merchants sells very cheap vigor potions, get as many of them as you can
— Golden named npcs give quests, questing in the UD is much more simple and convenient than at the surface, some quests can be done at non-hostile areas (such as with ore for durgars)
— Oh, and perhaps the most fun and useful part of it - don't be shy to ask other players, they don't bite!
