General Health:
Cold and austere, Zeeta's iron self-control manifests as a chilly continence, routinely devoid of any expression save contemptuous, sneering disdain. Her personality is matched by her appearance – sculpted, high cheekbones, cold unfriendly eyes and a degree of physical perfection that is entirely off-putting rather than attractive.

If she feels common emotions – even fear, affection or love- she shows little sign of it in word or appearance. Even her voice is cold: her accent aristocratic, the tone commanding, and utterly without emotional inflection.

Deity:
Zeeta bears no visible icons of faith, and will not discuss her religion or beliefs in public.
Initial Alignment:
Zeeta is open is her aversion to disorder and disobedience. She has been heard to lament that the Gate's punishments for criminal and religious infractions require far greater severity than are presently enforced.
Profession:
While herself an adventuress, Zeeta prefers to act as a broker and go-between for anonymous individuals looking to hire small bands of capable individuals for various perilous tasks. She invariably accompanies the expeditions she organises, though preferring to act as a monitor ensuring that the interests of the party she represents are met; rather than actively leading such expeditions herself.
Base Class & Proposed Development:
Specialist Wizard (Conjurer) with further specialisation first as a Thaumaturge and later as Archmage, with several levels in Favoured Soul.
Habits/Hobbies:
Frequents Baldurs Gate, the Friendly Arm Inn and any other location where the likelihood of encountering adventurers and mercenaries available for work is high. Other than her dedication to her studies Zeeta professes to have few or no hobbies. Although she does drink, she does so in moderation and never to excess.
She favours blacks and rich, dark purples, reds and greens in her clothing. Regardless of whether she is travelling, adventuring, or attending a fest hall, she is always impeccably dressed in fine, high value clothing.

Background:


Zeeta proudly admits to being a scion of the House of Thulkist, a somewhat shady and disreputable banking family from distant Sembia. One with chapter houses in major cities throughout Northern Faerun (Including Waterdeep, Westgate, Ravensbluff, Athkathla, Mulmaster and Zhentil Keep). A very junior member of the family – she is the twenty-first grandchild of current House Leader Douris Thulkist and the seventh child of her father, Doust Thulkist- she has been granted more freedom to choose her own path than many of her far-flung clan.

Indeed, her arrival in the city was believed to herald the founding of a new Chapter House for the Thulkist Merchant Bank, with many investors disappointed (and a great many more relieved) that such does not appear to be the case. Instead, Zeeta has busied herself as a broker of adventurers, acting on behalf of anonymous third parties to facilitate the hire of mercenaries and adventurers. Subsequently she has been observed to adhere scrupulously to such contracts, even going so far as to seek out and pay party's and individuals who have inadvertently fulfilled such contracts in the course of their normal activities.

Goals:

*Make the lands of the North safer for travel and trade.

*Represent the interests of her “clients”.

* Maintain the honour and reputation of her House.

* Conduct fair dealings, and hold others accountable to the same standards.

*Acquire sufficient funds to establish her own Banking House of Thulkist chapter house.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

* Lady Thulkist has put forth a call for adventurers. Will you answer the summons?

* The Thulkist family are very, very rich. And Lady Thulkist appears to be here all alone, without even a single bodyguard to her name.

* Zeeta can be found frequenting many establishments and locations favoured by adventurers. For all that she is rather cold and unfriendly, she makes a point of establishing contact with as many such individuals as possible.

* It is said that Lady Thulkist was sent out from Sembia with a mere thousand gold pieces in her pocket and told not to return until she had earned back that sum a thousand-fold.

* It is also said that Zeeta was sent out from Sembia with sufficient funds to establish a new Banking House of her own in Baldur's Gate. If that's true, where has all the money gone?

With the recent and somewhat mysterious death of her Grandfather, Lady Thulkist has been summoned to the family lands in Sembia. There, to participate in the dangerous and oft-times devastating rounds of intrigue, murder, agitation and blackmail that precede the election of a new gentle-being to the Patronage and Governance of the Banking House of Thulkist.
