Unread post by Mursey »

First Name:

DJION

Last Name:

Image

Appearance:
Race: Aasimar
Age: 22 in DR1354
Height 5ft 7
Weight: 117lbs
Eyes: Blue-Gray in daylight. Faint glow in low light/darkness
Hair: Fiery Auburn

Personality Profile:
Kind. Gentle. Saintly. Wise. All of these and more, and yet fearsome and bold in the face if her enemies. Thoughtful, considerate, temperate. Even in her youth the blessed Djion is seldom given to rash action, and rarely succumbs to anger, jealousy or greed.
General Health:
Physically a healthy young woman, neither overly muscular, not unsuited or unaccustomed to a day's work. Sunkissed, she prefers to minister to her flock in the outdoors beneath Lathander's Holy Radiance rather permit herself to be locked away in a cloister.
Deity: Lathander Morninglord.
Initial Alignment: Neutral Good
Profession: Member of the Order of the Golden Lion. Member of the Order of the Black Lion. Awakened (Novice) of Lathander; Acolyte of the Halls of the Morning in Ravensbluff.
Base Class & Proposed Development: Cleric. Proposed Cleric 6/Morning Lord 10/ Solar Channeller 10/Heirophant 4. End stats Cha 21 and Wisdom 22. Epic Planar Turning Feat and Heirophant Abilities: "Advanced Divine Spellpower" and "Master of Energies".
Habits/Hobbies: Tending the flock, quiet study, weapon's practice, wandering, uncovering the glories unveiled beneath Lathander's radiance. Learning, and spreading the gift of learning. Defending the weak, the helpless and the vulnerable. Fighting alongside the righteous. Serving as an example that the unrighteous might strive to become so.
Does not appreciate ribald comments or dirty jokes made in her presence. Especially when said comments are directed at her.
Languages: Abyssal, Celstial, Chondathan, Common, Infernal
Weapon of Choice: Morningstar

Background:

The blessed Djion began life as the daughter of a peddler, in blessed Ravensbluff, the City of Heroes. No coincidence in truth, that she should be born in so storied a place. She grew to early womanhood as the third of her father's daughters, pledged to Lathander's service from an early age. Though it was written that the blessed Djion would serve out her life in service to the Morning Lord in her own homeland, she fled her temple cloister on a whim, to offer succour to those brave souls battling devils in the savage Sword Coast lands.

And thus we learn the first lesson of the Blessed Djion. When the right thing must be done, it must be done, regardless of rules or consequences.

I am as He made me
I have no desire
For a mouth at my breast
Or a pot on the fire

I heed the high voices
I go where I'm sent
To mow down the men
who refuse to repent

I'm a scythe
in a field full of briers

And they won't call me mother, or sister, or wife
they will know me or not by the strength of my light
I will burn like a star of my own
They'll know me as Djion. They'll know me as Djion.

The courage of Corrin, the flames of the forge
The sword of Zant Mithall, the blood of Ser Forge
I take what I'm given, I follow my truth
I gladly abandon the bloom of my youth

I'm the lashing
that falls from the scourge

And they won't call me mother, or sister, or wife
they will know me or not by the strength of my light
I will burn like a star of my own
They'll know me as Djion. They'll know me as Djion.

I fight where He tells me. I never ask why.
I've bloodied the Devils with steel from on high.
I kill in good conscience, heeding His law
I sift out the righteous, like grain from the straw.

I am judgement,
and heaven is nigh!

And they won't call me mother, or sister, or wife
they will know me or not by the strength of my light
I will burn like a star of my own
They'll know me as Djion. They'll know me as Djion.

Refugees from Tyrmount speak of visitations by an angelic figure with the coming of each dawn and dusk to the camp. A flame-haired lass of saintly bearing and beatific patience attends the camp three times each day to speak in rousing terms of new dawns, new blessings, and new futures for residents within the camp. Though at first met with rotten fruit and even more rotten cat-calls, she has persevered, bringing the blessings and doctrines to Lathander to those souls most in need of hope and solace.

Yet some say this saintly servant of the Morninglord has expressed doubts at the efficacy of her preaching and devotion. Time and again she has been seen to look to the discard arms and armour of the crippled former guards of Tyrmount. Oft, it's said, she looks to the north, to the fighting, with a trouble brow and determined set to her slender jaw.
