I presume female? As it may stop you if your toon is male.
Perhaps you are choosing something odd. Remember your start realm is the underdark.

Hey, welcome to the server!
Also, on BG each deity has a certain list of available domains, they're all here: viewtopic.php?t=49042, inappropriate domains is what likely caused this issue.

Which domains did you select? As the posters above mentioned, clerics must pick domains associated with their deity in order to be considered valid characters.gigasecond wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2019 9:32 pm Hi I am trying to get into the server but it says im in violation. I wasn’t sure if our server allowed it. Thought it didn’t for some reason

I picked the death one. I didnt see anything in the list that lays out which deity matches up with which domain. The domains are just a list?

Re: New player says i'm in violation?
i read all of that I guess im confused.
When i create my character i choose cleric , then deity, then i choose domain.
on the domain list i can choose
DEFAULT CLERIC
CLERIC,NATURE
CLERIC,DEAD WALKER
CLERIC, CRUSADER
CLERIC, DIVINE CHAMPION
CLERIC, WARPRIEST
CLERIC,DOOMGUIDE
On the link in the instructions for the server it points to the matching "domains" for Eilistraee.
Chaos, Luck, Good, Protection, Moon, Portal, Drow
Now i see how some can kinda match up but am I missing something?
I am trying to port a char over that I have in a 5E campaign, I am ready to be loose with the port, so this can be her early years or whatever, I just keep hitting walls. My 5e char is a former drow cleric Lolth that is now with eilistraee . She is grave domain. It looks like Grave doesnt line up with my Deity so I just made her generic cleric and ill RP the rest.
So if I cant be grave domain, then hmm portal sounds fun... cept I don't see it... al I see is stuff like WARPRIEST. What's the link-up?
Nice to meet you guys and thx for the help!
see ya in server if i can get in

... there's a Customize button on the top of all that.
You actually never ever want to select any of the other options. Though it's not made very clear and I know other players who've missed the Customize button.

Warpriest is a PRC... Portal is a Domain.gigasecond wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 12:02 pm So if I cant be grave domain, then hmm portal sounds fun... cept I don't see it... al I see is stuff like WARPRIEST. What's the link-up?
Also, Glowfire explained what you need. The customize button allows you to select your skillpoint distribution, domains, feats, etc. Always customize!

Re: New player says i'm in violation?
A lot of people use nwn2db.com to plan their build (to some extend, since it's not 1-on-1 compliant with our server).
You can either try out your build there, make it public and share it here for advice, or you can ask one of the great minds we have here to make a build for you.
I must add however that a cleric might be a bit of a tough start on this server, due to this server being medium RP, and the lore surrounding a cleric, as well as the custom lore for this server are somewhat vast.
Let's see ... we've also got a tips and tricks forum, with a separate character building forum for the technical side, and a roleplaying guides forum for information on roleplaying on our server... I couldn't find much on clerics there, though
I hope this helps. If not, feel free to ask!

Re: New player says i'm in violation?
In regards to Lolth:
That exeption was in the 2nd addition. In the 3rd edition Lolth kills all male clerics or have turned them into females. Now we are at 3.5 but it should be the same as 3rd on the matter. No Male Clerics of Lolth here
Reference::
- Demihuman Deities (2E)
Hidden: show
- Faiths and Pantheons (3E)
Hidden: show
As For Eilistraee I have no comment.
Edit:
The FR FandomWiki has a mention of it, however it is not referenced and the text is the same throughout all the edition. If you check the Sourcebooks i referenced you'll see that the fandom is incorrect. Kinda the flaw of having an open wiki where anyone can write at anytime.

Re: New player says i'm in violation?
Our timetable is 1e (pre-Time of Troubles) so Lolth hasn't killed all the male clerics yet. That said I do not know what the in game rule is with regards to male clerics of Lolth/Elistraee in game, just noting that while we do use 3.5 ruleset that comes with NWN2 we do NOT follow the timeline/lore of 3.x
